Probably most don't care. They are so simplistic in their knowledge: 1. God's name Jehovah (therefore, this makes them feel they are now of the smartest people on earth) 2. New World is coming "soon" (this interprets to them that that could be today or someday soon, or after they die - which they don't really want to consider as possible). 3. The Watchtower is "the truth" no matter what,,even if wrong they will wait on Jehovah/GB to correct it - eventually.

You don't need to waste 6mos of your life to learn the facts about JWdom. Check jwfacts.com This is a decent wrap-up of the JW beliefs, flip-flops and unloving policies.
If you need more convincing, please read Steve Hassan's books about high mind control identifiers.
Best wishes. Put your efforts of serious study in your school classes, and preparations of college (yes, the WT discourages completely anyone going to college - but few go) Find friends that can be honest to you and that you can be honest with.

Too old for an IPAD!
by Honeybucket inmy elderly(72) grandmother told my auntie that she has to get an ipad and a ipod.
my granny can barely check her email, im not sure what she thinks shes going to be doing with these apple products.
she said she needs them for the field service.... my faded aunt says if it will make her pretty and popular in the hall, cost is no matter.

Maybe the WTS will re-start Book Study Meetings again in your local neighborhoods for Ipod, Ipad, and computer classes! :) Or, part of a new Bible Study plan, using these products. Just think how the Bible Studies will increase then.

Yesterday Grandpa died a faithful JW.... or was he.
by cyberjesus inyesterday at 3 am my grandfather.. 95 more or less... passed away after a heart attack... i got the call at 8 am.
so i am the oldest grandson (out of 40) he was faithful, (thats what they want to say) reality is he wasnt, he cursed, he drank, he had plenty of women during his life.. he was an elder at some point and he was ultra good with everyone.
he had a heart of gold... he treated me as his son, he never cared about my status.

You were 'lucky' (hee-hee) to have such a love and bond for your grandfather. "We are more remembered by how we made people feel," versus their belief/religious system. The WTS wants to only talk of the deceased about their belief according to the WT. But we know that is empty.
I hope your father improves in his attitude toward you later.
