during a day where it seems that most people will be in the yards cooking on the grill, i wonder if more jws will go out in service; and if offered a hotdog will they accept it?.
And on Thanksgiving too (because the turkeys are on sale)
So true, it seems like all JDUBS wait for Thanksgiving and go hog-wild on the turkey sales. lol
And to answer this posters question, most will be out knocking on doors to wake up those poor souls with hang overs. And I will be at my front door, ready with my water balloons to toss at nary a witness that tries to approach my establishment.

I do not tolerate anything the JW's do currently, so the answer would be despise them even more.
Maybe it would add fuel to the fire, I guess.
One of the myriads of issues that kept me from ever becoming a JDUB.
The major one is, of course, the mind-numbing control it spawns upon its members. Never a big fan of mind-controling cults. ;)
just reading frequent flyer miles on the subject of feeling guilty for having a happy marriage with a non-jw.. in our congregation which i haven't attended for about a year, i can only think of two or three who seem to be happy.
of course, i don't know what happens behind closed doors, but i know of several who admit they are unhappy.
i wrote out a long list of couples who have divorced over the last 20 years--including three elders (one is on his second divorce).
And sure maybe they "seemed" happy. But you could apply that same principle to Everyone you know, jw or not.
Valid point, it is possible to put up a front regarding your happiness. Thinking about it now, I do know a few JW's who are "happy" in front of their own, but up in arms around me and other friends about their situation. Genuine happiness can most likely never be measured by anyone except by the eye of the beholder.
And that is definately what this organization is about, putting up a front for all to see.

I really don't know who everyone on this board is talking to. Most JWs I have seen are very happy in their marriages.
