The term apostate is used freely on this forum, don't you find it offensive
by avidbiblereader ini find the term apostate used freely towards those who have left the org, by both witnesses hiding and also ex witnesses calling themselves that.
don't you find that offensive.
i have been out for over 6 years and the last thing i consider myself is an apostate.

For those that think there are "subliminal images" in Watchtowers...
by AlmostAtheist indo you believe the watchtower organization is inserting them, or individuals are doing so on their own?.
having looked at the images that people have found and pointed out, i have to say that i don't think they are there at all.
just random patterns that happen to look like something familiar.

It's a strange subject and having read D Barfoot's book , it opened up this issue , my own feeling is that there are certain members of the art dept who are playing pranks, certainly no G/B cover up.

Wendy Burgers
by pobthespazz inwhat ever happened to wendy burgers?
they finished their uk operation about 10 years ago , are they still big in the usa?.
i used to love the square burgers that made them famous and the fries were good as well , including a nice salad bar, far better then the mc**** that we see on every street now..

Unfortunately the great British contribution to the Burger world was the Wimpy Bar which must be about 40 years old now although not many left , but the burgers were good cooked on a griddle and fresh onions were used.
A few years ago a Bonanza appeared but did not last too long, now here we have Mcdee's , Burger King (shite),loads of Pizza places , Dominos etc, Kfc , Starbucks, Cafe Nero, Costa, Pret (great sandwiches), Taco Bell (RIP) , M&S for sandwiches same Boots.
When I was in the USA I used to like the "Sizzler" but they never arrived in the UK, shame..

Does Anyone Really Believe They Can Knock Out The Watchtower???
by minimus ini think it will be around for years to come.
i do think that we can put the word out about this cult and help people get out or not join them in the first place.
but we'll never obliterate them, in my opinion.

I don't see it happening in my lifetime, It's all a numbers game turning over new recruits in developing nations IE South America , Brazil , Mexico etc, and Africa some of the growth rates there are still high, and Japan, South Korea, Philippines,

Who's on 1st base?
by pobthespazz inone of my favourite movies of all time is rain man with t cruise and d hoffman, the scene when hoffman recites the 1st base dialogue from the abbot & costello film is priceless.
.
does any one know the full script from the scene and does it signify anything?.
