  many are the false chronologies and erroneous and very misleading applications of prophecy in our day, but the majority of them being little known it is not necessary that their errors should be specially pointed out.

  but during the past five years numerous tracts and pamphlets have been published and widely circulated by a mr. dimbleby of england, and by a mr. totten of the united states, which present a so-called "bible chronology," and various prophetic interpretations based thereon, which are quite misleading to many,--inclining them to false expectations and thus diverting their attention away from correct expectations, and consequently away from the real duties of the present "harvest" work and time.

  Well I for one go along with the idea of mankind starting out "about" 6,000 years ago, and that would leave the next 1,000 years For the "Rulership of Jesus". Completing a 7,000 day of "rest". Which then it is mostly believed that God comes out of his rest and starts creating again. (hmm, another universe?)
  What ever our creator doe's, He leaves here in this universe His legacy! US, the human race, the Sons of God. hmmmm *grins*
  Many events fortold have come about in our life times, or in very recent history that indicate we are in the last days. The day and hour is not known as the end is cut short on acount of the Anointed.

  i had a discussion with some greek orthodox members recently.

  i was pointing out the disparity between the brutal behavior of "gods people in the o.t.

  and the pacifistic way in which jesus was to have behaved in the n.t.. they accounted for this by explaining that god changed during that time.

  True Peace and Security - books

  i have a question that has puzzled me for a long time.

  i would love to have some explanation because i cannot think of one.. i left the jws in 1985. the year after they released a book called "true peace and security - how can you find it?".

  i got a copy of this book several years after it was released so i am unaware of the information about it.

  Partaking of the emblems

  i've always been curious as to the reasons why only "the anointed" were permitted to partake of the emblems at the memorial.

  we all know that the wtbts says the "other sheep" are the non-anointed christians who merely observe the memorial (by the way, by "other sheep" jesus was talking about the gentiles that would become part of the new covenant; he wasn't referring to some strange class of non-anointed christians).

  they've often compared the situation to the foreigners in the congregation of israel who were not permitted to observe the passover (see exodus 12:38, 43 -- they draw this correlation because the memorial is the replacement for the passover observance).

  as i haven't read any jw literature some 10 years or more now, can anyone tell me when was the last time that 1914 was seriously mentioned or discussed in a wt or book or whatever?.

  and when was the last time the calculation of the "7 times" which leads to 1914 was actually put down in writing in jw lit?

  has it been in a wt study article recently?.

  When was the date 1914 ever even really seriously concidered by any but Jdubs? The only date in history I find that may fit the slot on any date is 1948.

  Yah just have to laff sometimes about all this garbage on the name of our Creator. Just as you have a name, and have selected a name for ussage in here, I would think it reasonable that God does too? Duh?

  There are many "titles" that people are called by, such as in your case "Dumb Shit" may just fit the bill? Have you graduated grade school yet?
