Thank you all for the fantastic advice, I'm going to go and get the local paper now. Im just going to be open to new opportunities and experiences and see what happens. It's true with 'friends' in the org, they are not usually people you would choose to be friends with but have to be friendly as there is no one else that is 'acceptable' to hang around with. I feel a lot better now and I think I'm ready to start my new life. Yay

How do you make friends once leaving the Borg?
by unhappy inso i'm starting the fading out now, and i'm avoiding all kh 'friends,' but am finding it a bit lonely, as was raised in org, and was always taught to shun worldly people even at school.
does anyone have any advice or experiences about how to overcome this?
how they met and made new friends in the beginning?

Any tips on successfully fading?
by unhappy ini know it's already been discussed a bit on the board but i just wanted some advice.
i've been fading for a little while and my problem is this how does one fade successfully without getting caught out or hasselled non stop.
the funny thing is i do actually have all the medical prolems that were mentioned in a previous thread (chronic fatigue syndrome, depression, migraines and that's just for starters) but i've had these for years and have still kept on going to the meetings regularly, i even pioneered, which i now realize was absolute madness.

Thanks everyone for all your advice, it's been really good to get info on how others have managed fading. I've got my app for my op now, its going to be in jan, so that should make it easier to just not come back afterwards. The dubs at the kh don't really visit anyone even when they're sick so im not really expecting any support really.

Ok, I'm in my early twenties, don't work due to poor health, family is in truth, very prominent in cong. I have support from one member of my family. I wouldn't be able to move away at the moment, as am due to have surgery soon. I live very close to lots of dubs whch makes it a bit difficult.

Thanks everyone, I'm going to try all of the suggestions, not all at the same time of course, although.....
And If all else fails I guess i'll just have to relocate. Wish me luck!

LOL! I can just imagine the elders faces in my cong if I start talking about my periods. I think that will def be a conversation stopper.
Onthewayout, thanks will start researching i sure I can find something that will scare them away from ever talking to me again.
