yesterday was sunny and i felt strong.

i mean, i know i'm bitter.. normally these days quite strong, not feeling so much so much the last few days though.. what i'd give to do the things i was used to.
going doing the weekly shop with my mum, her popping round for a brew in the morning.. a hug from her, just to to know from the way she communicated with me, that she loved me.
i miss her so much.. and what if i'm wrong?.

We probably are all wrong. But I believe there is a loving God who sent Jesus to earth to show us His love.
Jesus said that the whole law is summed up in this: "Love God with your whole heart, soul and strength and love your neighbor as yourself."
If we follow this rule, we not only have hope for everlasting life (IMO) but our life here will be happier too. The whole world is better when
we love.
In my search, I have found that the Truth is Christ Jesus. There is no one organization or church that can claim to be exclusively God's channel.
Jesus is the "way, the truth and the life" and no one can come to the Father except through Him.

I will give you the same advice I would give my grandchildren if they were in the WT organization.
As Nathan said: Make plans. Keep them to yourself (Not tell anyone who will report you to the elders)
Make friends at school or in the neighborhood who are not JWs. Start thinking about what you want
to do with your life. A young girl who left the organization after we did and became part of our family
joined the marines. She got a disability discharge after 12 years and used her GI to go to college,
She is now working onbase and is going for her Master in Business Administration. I think the military
teaches you a lot in the way of self-discipline and self-esteem.
However you go, just know that you need education to make it in this world. Apply yourself in your
studies so that going to college will be easier.

The people in the "world" are just people. There are some wicked, some very good, some mean, some kind. When
I got out, I prayed that God would show me the people that he wanted me to associate with. Some of the best friends
I have now, I met just after I got out. Good, God-fearing women that I believe would give their lives for me. I had no such friends
in the Watchtower. I thought I did, but when I left, I found out they weren't really friends at all. Conditional love is not
love. Find people who have the same interests you do. There is a place called MeetUp.com where you can find people
with similar interests who meet near you. Not everyone you meet will become your friend, but you will be able to see which
ones are the kind you would want for friends.
If you just give it to God, He will guide you.

i am curious about who (after leaving) went on to other religions vs. lost faith completely.
once i started questioning the wt society, i began to question everything.
as jw's we are taught from childhood up that other religions are false - so it seems easy, after elliminating the last one, to be rid of religion altogether.. .
I lost faith in the Watchtower organization. I still believe in God, I believe in Jesus.
I believe that the Bible holds many truths and like any other book, you have to find
the nuggets that can help you build your faith.
I cannot prove to anyone that there is a God. Only He can do that, and He will if you ask Him.

My husband and I left the WT after being it for almost 50 years. We had no friends outside of the organization.
Because my husband had been an elder from the time he was 17 years old (they called them servants at that time)
until he stepped down in 1981, they would not just let us leave because of the influence we might have on other
JWs. They called us to a Judicial Committee and disfellowshipped us as "apostates". We had to start all over
making friends of our neighbors and in other places. We joined a bowling league and found new friends.
If I were you, as has been mentioned above, start making friends now and then just gradually stop going to meetings.
I think that is good if they will let you.
