Lost a Good Friend in Death this Weekend- He Worked Part Time For Me

this guy named jim- 49 years old died of a massive heart attack .

shocked the hell out of me.

he was a very giving person helping provide for his disabled brother - even though he was a man of little means.

Dearest Flipper,
It is so hard to lose someone we love. I think it is important to just
show our love every day, as your friend did, because none of us know
how long we have here on earth. We never expect to lose loved ones
even though we know that it is inevitable at some time. I really know
how you are hurting. I am so sorry that you lost your friend, but he will always
be with you in your memory. He will live on and his good works will also.
I know that his brother will remember how much he was loved.
May you have peace in your sorrow.

Unconditional Love

i'm struggling with the concept of 'unconditional love' or friendship.. does it really exist?.

if so, how would you define it?.

I like Hortensia's explanation. To me unconditional love is accepting people as they are and
not trying to change them or wanting them to be something different. I guess we would all like
people to be they way we would like, but is there any way to change others? I think that sometimes
"love" gets to have a different meaning in our minds. When you look at it as "caring" then it is different
than a love of a husband, wife, parents or children. I don't think we can love everyone with that intensity.
I believe it means just accepting without judgment.
It is not easy. I am still struggling with accepting people l ike Osama bin Laden, Hitler,
Stalin and Hussein the way they are/were. I just have to accept that God will
make it right in time.

I am not trying to prove anything either way. I just looked at a lot of 767s and could find none with an apparent
bulge on the underside from any angle.

I have noticed that for the most part, older folks as older witnesses as well, who are set in their beliefs, no longer question them. The longer you believe, the more it takes to shake you out of them ... can you really get out a person out of the borg who has been in it for 50, 60 years? Hardly, you just say, "waste of time" or "lost cause."

I found this video very interesting. I do not know exactly what I believe about 9/11, but can we always trust the government to tell the truth? I don't think so. Has anyone seen "Charlie Wilson's War"? Says its based on a true story. How much can we believe that we see in the press or hear from our politicians? Good question?

This bulge is the wing fairing present on all 767s (and maybe other models). Look it up, you will see excellent pictures of this "bulge" on the bottom of 767s. It is normal.
I went online and looked at a bunch of 767 Commercials and cannot see any "bulges". Just for the record, here is one of the pictures.

So good to hear from you. I regret that we did not get to spend
time together! I am so glad that you got to spend time with your
parents. Family is the MOST important. Spend as much time as
you can with them. Life is short and you never know what tomorrow

Definitely not Jehovah's Witnesses.
They are using words that JWs do not, like "the persecuted church" and "bringing Bibles to Chinese Christians".
It just doesn't sound like "theocratic" language.

I agree with you. I believe God reads the heart. He created us with a conscience and
when we do the things that do not violate who we are, He knows. I believe he wants us
to live our life and not to spend our lives in religion.
He is looking for real people and not hypocrites.
