If science could let you live forever, would you take it?

an ethical question for theists.

if science started to make some progress in extending our lifespan and eventually made a breakthrough that halted the aging process, even able to reverse it.

would you accept such a treatment, or allow yourself to grow old and die to take a chance at an afterlife.

No. The thought of WORKING forever turns my stomach. Can you envision a workforce of 200 yr old people? You'd never be able to retire. You's always be someone's "slave". Especially if they couldn't guarantee that you'd be young and vigorous forever. Who wants to live forever if you are old and falling apart slowly?

people looking for someone to take over, people who have f'd up their life so bad they are desperate for someone to tell them how to tie their shoes.

in short, the wts is looking for people who are vulnerable to an authority figure cult.. healthy people asked this question would laugh in your face and tell you to get lost.

I remember reading their lit that posed thid question but they never really answered the question. Went on and on about everything under the sun but gave no clear answer to the question. By the time you got finished reading the material that went off in a thousand different directions you forgot what the question was.

in missouri at a ihop, a lesbian kissed another female (her gf) on the cheek, once while sitting in the restaurant.

the manager went over to the ladies and told them they were not welcomed there and therefore had to leave.

the women described the kiss on the cheek as a similar type of kiss to an "uncle".

I am offended when anyone displays affection in public- hetero or homo. There is a time and a place for that and in plain sight of God and everyone is not the right time or place.

i have not tried to hide my past as a victim of this, but this is always an area that i have to fight my personally feelings as to what should be done to child molesters.

they ruin lives, scar an individual for a lifetime!.

should they be incarcerated for life, castrated, turned over to the family member(s), public humiliation like a branding everywhere they go, tortured and or death penality?.

Execution if there has been physical violation of the sexual kind. Life in prison, without chance of parole, for fondling or child porn or other types of molestation.

I am baffled as to why I Urinate so often and I am not a "Diabetic"?

i am really scared to go to the doctor but i am going after 5 years of constantly getting up to go to the bathroom especially at night.

in the daytime i hardly ever have to use the bathroom.

i have been tested for diabetis for many years and each time the doctor tells me "you are not a diabetic booker-t" i am terrified now because a good friend of mine who is in his early 40's as i am just found out he has prostate cancer.

Diabetes insipidus , which is not the same as "sugar diabetes" is not always accompanied by high glucose levels. It has to do with hormones produced by the pituitary gland. RUN, don't walk to you MD. Even if what you have isn't diabetes insipidus you still need to get checked out pronto.

an ex-jehovahs witnesses planted a seed of doubt by stating that she felt to be a good .

witness an individual had to be a conformist.

I was always struck by the fact that the JW's were constantly divying up elegant, fancy homes amongst themselves. You know, how this one or that one would occupy these great and beautiful homes after Armageddon. No one ever saw this as a sin- a sin against the Law given by God in the 10 Commandments- You must not covet your neighbors goods.

I never heard any of the elders take anyone to task for being envious or greedy. Besides, I thought all this "stuff" would be destroyed in Armageddon anyway and a new perfect world would take its place.
