She then daydreams about all the things the Watchtower does and after her daydream she decides to drop her coin into the contribution box.
Did she daydream about lawsuits from abuse?

Ohh, is Russia back to being the King of the North? They lost the title a few times, would be nice to see them get that back again.

lol ...if you are new here, you might not understand the question..
I still have my book!
is there a point by point refutation of that book?it's the source of all of the "russell was a mason" conspiracy.
i started reading the book and i noticed some pretty obvious holes in the argument... for example, he writes that the pyramid-shaped monument is "proof" and we all know it isn't.here is the book if you want to check it out.https://archive.org/details/fritzspringmeierthewatchtowerandthemasons1990_201603.
There was a speech transcription that Russell gave at a Mason lodge to members. He flat out acknowledged that he wasn't a Mason and thanked them for letting him speak. The Free Mason society has stated that he was never on their roster.
The headstone for the cemetery was initially designed with an upright cross and crown, it wasn't until after Russell's death that the headstone was finished with the tilted cross and crown design. There is no explanation for the change.
I am fine for calling out the coverups and lies of the Watchtower, but I try to make sure they are accurate. If points are accepted merely because they are negative, then we are no different than the JW's.
this thread is to formally address this subject.
this is for forum members and especially for lurkers (current witnesses reading this in secret).
please feel free to post any additional points.. there are a lot of changes happening in wt land.
Take a look at televangelists who are poor on paper, but control unlimited expense accounts.
The life of a Governing Body member involves traveling the world first class, staying in exotic locales at luxury resorts under the guise of "giving talks".
They have instant celebrity and very intimate power over millions of member's lives. There is nobody to challenge their behavior, they are the gatekeepers.

I know we are not supposed to, but dang this is a great post.
Marked for future reference.
earlier in the week someone posted the potential value of the jw website based on visits and if they used advertisements.
many stated they would never do that but i propose they could.. besides their real estate profit making business model, they have the conventions as cash generating machines.
they give directions to their members to which hotels/motels to use.
Nope, I'm still in the "never" camp.
The Watchtower thrives on control, advertisements would be beyond their control. They just couldn't let go enough to allow it.

an athist made this casual statememt on another thread:.
this would suggest to me that there are at least some atheists that do have consistant beliefs.. .
as an atheist, how could he possibly trust the reason that suggests this to himself?
If religious people kept their beliefs out of government, I would have no problem with it. It is when someone tries to influence law to suit their own personal beliefs that I take exception.
It is not struggling against any gods, it is a struggle for freedom.
