weird question: i understand the concept of mirroring/ matching as defined in nlp writings (sales, hypnosis, therapy techniques, etc.).
what i'd like to know is, why do some people carry this to the extreme of repeating word for word, even to the point of replaying l - o - n - g conversations in their entirety?
i've noticed that certain individuals play back not only my verbal 'role' from a previous conversation 'transcript' but their own 'role' as well, all the while passing it off as if it is entirely a new conversation in present moment.

What gives? What is the purpose of doing this?

when i was a kid and on vacation in florida about 20 years ago, my dad had mentioned about an "apostate group" in florida and that it was called "jehovah's christian witnesses" supposedly they even had their own kingdom halls, how many others here are aware of this group and do they even exist still?

The local [secular] convention center webpage lists the dates of upcoming summer assemblies for "Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses (CCJW). It's the CCJW that caught my attention. Do they use this shorthand to refer to themselves now?
has anyone noticed that the 'laughs' on this website differ from those on facebook, e.g.?
here it's 'lol' or 'lmao,' and there it's 'haha.
is 'haha' the newer expression or older one in webspeak?.
Sorry...wrong section.

I'm sorry, but I don't know what you mean by that. I joined and so did Bill Bowen, and neither of us are site administrators.
My bad. I thought 'view members' would be displayed off to the right side but, apparently, they were down to the bottom of the page where I hadn't scrolled completely. Glad to see some others have the courage to join openly. Wish I were to that point as yet.

Has anyone noticed that no one but the administrator has joined that Facebook group? It's tempting but also very scary to publicly stand behind it like that, for many, I'm sure. I know I certainly felt that way...didn't have the courage to put my face to it, even though I think as many people as possible should.
have posted this on the other thread but just making this one as well:
i need to let you know that dad passed away this morning at 8am.
he fought so hard but in the end they could not get his blood pressure to rise and he died of heart failure.
Sincere sympathies to you and yours.

www.jehovahs-witness.net opens in January.
Honesty-- Simon announced in a thread that JWD closes down at the end of this year, but JWN will open up to replace it. Here's a link to the thread.
