  hello all, just wanted to give an update..... i'm no longer engaged, so that's one less thing that's holding me back from leaving the org.

  don't get me wrong, i do hate we had to end it and i do love her very much.

  this has been quite hard for me.

  just closed your eyes, threw a dart at the world map, and would have to take the 10 million, get on a plane within the hour, move to that location, and never look back, contact your friends or relatives again.

  Caught Wife Cheating

  so i posted a while back about my marriage problems.... whole new gambit thrown into the mix.

  i've had suspicions all along that something like this might be happening... but only just not confirmed that she's been cheating on me... with another jw that she works with!

  she could have been more discreet about it rather than leave all the text messages on her phone.

  I'm really sorry. Keep in mind this is a major character flaw. Don't allow any blame on yourself to creep in. She needs to be held accountable for her actions. I believe that most of the time, if someone cheats they will cheat again.

  Waistband of pants down to mid thighs

  i had a sandwich at subway today and my seat was near the door.

  one of the patrons left with his buddy and i could hardly believe my eyes.

  i'm no prude but it turned me off to see the belt line of his jean shorts down to the middle of his thighs.

  I realize this has been a fad for several years but wonder what the root of it is.
  This is called 'sagging'. It originated in prisons when men were OWNED by other men within the prison walls.

  I think if the youth REALLY understood the origin, most of them would pull up their pants.

  No, this does nothing for me. :)

  Lazy teenager....need help before I lose it!!!

  i have a teenage daughter and she is very lazy.

  we have to get on her constantly to get her room clean, when asked about her progress, her answer is always"i am working on it".

  then when we check, it is usually worse than the day before.

  I know exactly what you are going through. I have a 13 yr old and 11 1/2 yr old that is trying to be like her big sister. I am also a youth worker who forgets that my kids are typical to all the other teens.

  Geez, it can get depressing sometimes. All the yelling, threats, let downs, etc. It's really good you asked for help.

  One thing I vividly remember my mom doing when I was growing up was that she put anything that way just left around the house into a brown paper bag. If we wanted those items, we had to do a chore to earn them back.

  Another great thing is to have her work WITH you. Ask her to come along side you and help you make dinner sometime. She might whine the whole time but try to ignore it as much as possible and stick it out. Then she can complete a project with you and enjoy the finished project.

  as an unabashed star trek fan i find all the references to the witnesses as "the borg" on this site really charming.

  recently a woman i worked with for three years, passed out at work.

  she has three kids and is very nice.

  i did not do things with her away from work, but talk to her every day.

  I manage a resort in a very rural beachside community. When we moved here 11 years ago, everyone looked so weird. I chalked it up to being in-bred. Well, the sunken in look (sometimes yellow skin) was due to a high rate of alcoholism and meth use.

  Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo many people are effected by this drug. My bro-in-law is 44 yrs old and busy digging himself a tunnel in his closet because he thinks the Mexican Maffia is after him. He has drug induced scizophrenia (sp) from Meth use. Sooooo sad.

  well................ive been in the jw religion my entire life, until last summer.

  im 20 years old now, and miss my family and friends.

  i left because i did alot of research about the jw religion, and i found nothing good and alot of truth.

  how do you feel about mandatory military service?

  i was watching the democratic debate on tv today, well some of it, and this was one of the topics.

  personally i think that it woldnt be a bad thing at all.

  many countries do it and have no problems.

  I personally don't like the idea at all. Just the fact that it would become 'mandatory' takes away the freedom to choose whether or not a person wants to be in the military.

  I don't want my kids going into the military for selfish reasons. I don't know how these wives, mothers, families etc get through the day knowing their loved one is in Iraq. It would tear me up inside.

  HELP....My Daughter Has FLEAS!!!

  has anyone here ever dealt with this????.

  i have tried olive oil, tea tree oil, flea shampoo and now mayo with tea tree oil.. they are so small it's hard to tell what they are but i saw them the first time she came home and they were big sand fleas.

  she had gone to the beach the week before and then when the school did a head lice check they told her she had fleas.

  So, I had my daughter with the mayo / tee-tree oil rememdy on her head for the last 3 hrs. I put plastic wrap around it for the purpose of possibly suffocating the critters.

  She hated it but when we were all done I picked out quite a few more fleas / eggs that I didn't see the first go around. These were ALL DEAD!

  Regarding the table salt appearance of the eggs....I did see this. They appear to be clear but they come off when I pick / pull them off.

  Had I not seen the actual large fleas in the beginning, I might think we were dealing with lice. But, the school saw them too and said they were fleas.

  The lady who checked her head said she had fleas when she was a little girl. They were so bad that they were actually on her body!!! Yuck.
