short story:.
never had a real religious formation until i met the witness in my teenage years.. not everything has been bad but most of my friends there and exwife have been cheaters, liars and hypocrites.... i called it quits this year as i could no longer swallow their truth.
i remarried a supposedly "christian" 23 yr old woman that has shown me how bad things are 'out here'.... regarding her i have a question... those of you that continue to uphold bible's principles and love for our dear creator please advise on the following situation:.
I suggest you leave her because she obviously wants to be with this guy and has tried to see him twice and succeeded once. If she had the means to go see him, she'd probably go and see him and you have no idea what they'd do ( probably have sex or what not).
Also, think of the consequences. If this ex of her is a low life good-for-nothing like you said, then he's probably just interested iny our "wife" for sex which I'm sure he also gets from other women and you have no idea what disease your wife might get if she ever has sex with her ex again which she disease she could pass on to you if you have sex with your "wife". Dump her and find someone better. There are lots of women out there who are committed and willing to be a one man's woman.

recently there was a thread showing pictures of the bethel .
family celebrating christmas 1926. in that thread, there is .
a quote of russell approving christmas celebration and a .
The WTS has sometimes admitted that in its early days, the members of the WTS celebrated Christmas but always follows the statement with: They eventually found out it was not from God and it wasn't Christian so they stopped celebrating it, etc.
I mean, they celebrated it once and instead of saying it's not Christian to celebrate Christmas in a nice persuasive way, they always do it with a tone that implies the people celebrating Christmas are worshipping the devil knowingly and in a harsh way.
Besides, if even some of the anointed celebrated Christmas and birthday and other holidays they now see as improper, how come the WTS now claims that the anointed who die and go to heaven are "virgin" in a spiritual sense based on Rev. and that they never fornicated with Babylong the Great?

did anyone have to get dunked twice at their baptism because you still had your big toe sticking out of the water ????.
ive seen this happen a couple of times.
I've never seen it but I've read that in order for baptism to be valid, the person's whole body - all the body parts - have to be submerged in the water or else it doesn't count and has to be re-done. Not sure what to think about it.
I mean, who will notice a big toe sticking out, other than the ones doing th baptism, unless the person getting baptized has a toe the size of an orange. lol
And isn't the point of getting baptized the person's dedication/desire to get baptized? I mean, I understand how submersion is a symbol or visible proof that such person wants to serve Jesus and God but so what if a toe is sticking out? It'll get wet anyway, eventually. And what if a hair sticks out? Does that invalidate the baptism?
we have tons of bound volumes, bound kms and many books.
i only plan on keeping a few of the older books with the really insane, humiliating crap, like sewing machines being a sign of the last days.
what should i do with the rest?
You can sell them on eBay! I know I'd like to get my hands on old publications but they're hard to find and have nowhere to put them lol... The basement is full with stuff. :-( justahuman - but super nonetheless
well i'm an atheist, so now i can feel free to think whatever i want without getting struck by lightning.
but i've been playing with this idea for quite a while:.
is satan just looking out for the poor little humans?
LtCmd.Lore, Satan DID lie to Eve. He told her that they wouldn't die but they did. Granted, it wasn't immediately but they eventually died. Satan didn't say: you won't die right away." He said very generally that they wouldn't die. Also, God didn't cause them to die and grow old. It was all a result of their disobedience. And confusing languages didn't necessarily cause problems. Nowadays groups of people speak different languages and yet we manage to communicate and not kill each other bcz we don't understand what other people are saying. It's people's actions, bad actions, that cause people to hurt each other and kill each other. And Satan is not the good guy. He knew and still knows that by him supporting or advocating human rule, he's disobeying God. Plus, history has proven that we humans cannot rule ourselves. Too many wars, most of them caused by the greed of humans. God didn't cause the wars, nor did he make humans go to war. He merely allowed them to happen so we can see that we're not capable of ruling ourselves. justahuman - but super nonetheless

It just isn't true. If the virus had been created by humans, a cure would've been found already and the disease wouldn't have spread so much as it has now. Twenty five years and no sign of a cure at all. Many vaccines have been tried and some are in development but the virus finds ways to become resistant or to not be affect by the vaccine at all. Companies make millions in producing medication for such disease and they'd make more if a cure was available. Even with the medication, which prolongs the lives of most patients, the virus has not been erradicated. Even when people reach the "undetectable" level, the virus still remains in their bodies and "hides" somewhere; no one knows where yet and that's why it's hard to find a cure for it or a vaccine that will give immunity to people who haven't contracted such disease. The people who came up with the conspiracy theory just wanted to become famous and known for their radical views but they never provided factual evidence to support their claims. justahuman - but super nonetheless
what is the second comming of christ, i mean what will happen...............armageddon??????????
destruction for anyone who isnt a christian ?.
he he going restore paradise on earth ????????.
Well, someone *Terry* is disillusioned with religion. You need help buddy!
One thing is to express your opinion; another is to try to persuade someone else to agree with you or not to belief something because you don't think it's true. You sound angry and frustrated. Get help! Maybe a Bible Study will help you LOL (the BS part was a joke).
I'll say this though: It's true that no one knows when it's going to happen but I do believe what the Bible says about Jesus, death, resurrection, etc. Don't know when it will happen but it will. About the creation of a new heaven and a new earth - well, just bcz the Bible doesn't say God will create a new sea and a new sun, etc, doesn't mean it's not included. Gen. 1:1 says that God created the "heaven and the earth". That sure included the starts, sun, seas, galaxies, etc. They weren't mentioned but "heaven and earth" should be taken as a general wording or else, it would've taken hundreds of pages if Moses had included every star by name and every galaxy.

we were quite surprised, then, to learn that the february 1, 1992 .
watchtower magazine contained an article that attempted to deal with .
the teachings of ignatius of antioch regarding the deity of christ.
Go to the link that Honesty posted and download the CD version. I have read the WTS articles and wasn't sure how unbiased they were. Of course, it's human nature to always quote and use what supports one's belief or opinion but to misquote or purposefully misrepresent someone's belief is just wrong.

how many of you feel or have felt like you are taken for granted?.
so we didn't talk for a month.
with his best friend who is straight but my bf has had a big crush on him since they met years before my bf and i met.
Thanks a lot for your comment! Well, I do love him and he loves me too. And it's not that we're trying to change each other per se. Well, it's complicated. He called me today and we talked. He was upset because I told him he was taking me for granted. He's always been very sociable and flirtatious which didn't bother me before but once he cheated on me and a few times when people thought he was actually being serious and thought he liked them, then I told him. I usually talk to him and let him know that something he does bothers me but then he gets defensive. And well, as for the "changing each other" part - like I told him, once two people are in a relationship, there are things that have to change. Things they did before may not be O.K. to do now. And he also has to think how something he does or says might me. I do it the same. Before I do something, I think of how he'll be affected by it. It's been a complicated 2 yr relationship. He text messaged me earlier and asked me if I still love him bcz I was really upset and he thought I didn't want to be with him bcz I told him that if he was not happy with me to break up with me and be single or find someone else. But neither of us wants to break up with each other. We really like each other. We haven't put up with each other's crap for 2 yrs for nothing lol... It doesn't really help that I have a temper and that he sometimes might come off as desconsiderate. *sigh* We'll see what happens! justahuman - but super nonetheless
