First time caller, long time lurker
by Gollum infinally, guilt at just being a lurker has driven me onto the board.
not that i feel i have much to add, but did want to extend my appreciation for much of the information and insight i have received from many of the posters here.. i suppose some brief synopsis of my story should be forthcoming.
its very similar to many of stories i have read here.. was raised in the truth ,third generation on both sides.

Kingdom Hall Alarm codes.
by JEMIMAH injust back from renovating my holiday home in the south west of france.
beats yorkshire anyday.... anyway thought i would share this little account with you.. as most are of you are aware, the alarm code for about 90% of kingdom halls is 1914 (nineteen fourteen).. i t seems though that for the last 8 or 9 quick builds or refurbs in the uk, the brother who installed the numbers into the alarm control panel used the numbers 1975 and explained the number as one nine seven five not the the easier version (ninteen seventy five).. trivial joke or honest mistake, either way this poor brother has been rumbled and has to to meet with 2 elders investigating on behalf of a body of elders to see whether an apostasy charge will be brought.. he is supposed to be meeting with them over the next few days.. .
a very sad jem, who is sick of the whole elder abuse game.

Now THAT is funny... and sad at the same time...
So I guess that means that if anyone wanted to break in to a KH they just need to memorize all the failed dates and for sure they'll get the right code... ... no... wait... that'll be too much!!... wait... that's almost IMPOSSIBLE!!! lol...

Currently inactive... Inactive for almost 2 years now... after the appeals committee they told me that they would hold the decision to DF me for "apostasy"... but... they still haven't announced it yet... and it's been 6 months since that last meeting... I wonder if the letter I send to HQ's had any effect on the decision?..
P.S. I am so excited to go to the Dallas apostofest!

Wonderful news about Iraq..NO NEED FOR WAR!

the iraqi dictator has sent a note to the chief u. n. weapons inspector informing him that he (has just now enacted legislation making wmd's illegal.
this wonderful news was announced by a gleeful hans blix just today at a televised meeting at the u.n.

if he really wanted peace, he'd just let the UN inspectors have free reign for now.

What do you think when you go by a Kingdom Hall?
by TresHappy ini drive by a kh every day, since it's very close to my work route, and i was wondering if anyone else secretly cheers that they don't have to go back into one of those things.
when i see a few cars parked there on the weekday, i am so thankful i don't have to go out and talk that stuff to strangers.
any thoughts?
