do you feel as if you are just like everyone else, or do you feel unique?
in what way are you special?edited by - jh on 23 january 2003 19:26:26.
I'm an apostate!
from watchtower bible and tract society of pennyslvania.... ti:tk january 20, 2003. dear brother xxxxxxxx,.
at 2 corinthians 9:7, paul said: let each one do just as he has resolved in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for god loves a cheerful giver.
" in modern times some have resolved in their hearts to donate toward the worldwide preaching work by means of checks sent to the watch tower bible and tract society of pennsylvania.. however, some have expressed interest in making donations directly from their bank accounts or by other electronic means.
Badwillie,
Did you posted their "lame canned response"?
I would like to see it... my mother asked me the other day (about the U.N. scandal) why don't I write to the Society.. and I told her that many people have already... and the response is always the same crap about the library card. I would like a copy of that... or a link to the posting if you don't mind...
Thanks
im not sure if is prudent to post this here.
i have a contact ( relative ) that is very close to a writing department researcher.. he claims that there was a private extraordinary meeting that was had about 6 months ago.
9 of the gb members were present and a handfull of elitists that apparently no-one knows or would recognise.
Personally, If all this is true, If I were still a dub... that book WOULD BE my last straw... that would BE IT! ... I'm out if there!
IMHO
i was just reading a posting blasting president bush for being rich, and therefore not looking out for the average american.
that is another issue, not for this thread.. my question is this: what do you consider rich?
how much money?
"For 1999, the most recent year for which complete Internal Revenue Service statistics are available, 6.3 million taxpayers whose incomes were in the top 5 percent paid more than 55 percent of all income taxes. They had incomes above $120,846 a year meaning two spouses could each earn a bit over $60,000 and be considered among the nation's richest." source: http://abcnews.go.com/sections/business/Tax2002/taxes_rich_020415.html
<sigh> ... and yet Democrats wants us "rich" people to pay more... it's SICK.
That is punishing success... If you're successful then you are punished by paying more taxes... If you busted youre a$$ for 4, 6, 8, 12 years getting your degree, Masters, PHD then you have to pay more... OR even if you DONT go to college but you have good skills you work hard you make a good living same thing YOU PAY MORE. if you don't make it in life and/or you're a lazy bum then we'll give you tax breaks... but "rich" people should pay more... my question is... WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY? Does ANYONE think that's FAIR?? I am sorry that is a COMUNIST mentality. Why are these people so envious of people that have actually succeeded in life?

i cant say that im a fan of affirmative action but bushs comments and actions against the u of m kind of burns me.
again, while i dont believe in affirmative action, i have to admit that it does help the "little guy.
" where i work there is another engineer who got a free ride through college because he received a hispanic scholarship while i spent 10 years paying back my student loans.
Yale! What a joke! I absolutely LOVE his tax break for the rich... how about a break on payroll tax??? Does he want to help average Americans? Of course not, all his friends are rich!
That statement is amusing... You sound like you're parroting what the head of the democrats say and repeat over and over again... hoping people will repeat it without knowing the facts.
This is the democrats view of how a tax break should benefit everyone (the communist way)
I'll give you an example:
Lets imagine there are 2 college students... both are equally smart, equally capable of accomplishing things. Student#1 studies hard... some weekdays and weekends she/he decides NOT to go out with his buddies and instead study for his/her clasess while student #2 goes out... party hard... doesn't study for his/her classes.
When they take tests student#1 always gets good grades let's say a 5 while student#2 doesn't do THAT well but doesn't do as good as student#1 he/she gets a 3.
Later on the teacher of the class asks Student#1 that because she/he got a 5 that he/she should give student#2 at least 1 point of his/her grades so that both of them have 4.
My question is... Is that fair? That's what DEMOCRATS WANT TO DO... DON'T YOU GET IT?!?!? (I'll wait for your comments... bashings)
P.S. TH - what's up with the name calling man... we're all friends here... and I get equally offended when you try to belittle other friends of mine.

I think right now at this time of war we just need to be United and support our country. It doesn't matter what political view we have as long as we are fighting terrosim and 9/11 does not happen again.AMEN!
