  Im new and need help!

  hello everybody, before i begin i just wanna say that i have really found alot of great posts on here that have been helpful forme , theres definitely alot of brilliant people here!.

  i am a born in jw(24 years old) ive been baptized for 7 years and was a ministerial servant for 4 years(i am no longer one).

  recently me and my parents have have woken up to ttatt(about 2 months ago).

  If she stays in and you know it's basically BS, you have unending heartache for sure. You'll have tension that will follow you to the bedroom and to the lives of children and who become friends. You will have problems going on vacations that you can agree on. Problems, problems problems.

  Religion that demands full loyalty from her will break your heart. You want to give all your heart? How much is she allowed to give?

  The convention program says marriage, family are below "Jehovah".

  I just got a look at this thread and it grabbed me.

  You are awesome!

  I struggled with the loyalty thing for a while. Your talk reminded me of those times.

  It fortified me when I had to examine WITHIN THE CONTRUCT OF THE SCRIPTURES how "off" the WT is in trying to shift allegiance from Jesus to themselves. The bottom line is this simple: IT DOES NOT COMPUTE!

  You did a great favor to yourself and to others.

  In your Judicial Commitee you should bring your manuscript--(O, I lay odds you'll see a JC)--and point out that they had ample time to chart your course and correct it. You are only benefitting from the Ministry School after all.

  Need some advice...For my kids

  since being out mentally and missing meetings my children mention people from the hall and i cant help but feel bad that they are missing the association.

  my daughters are 4 and 2 and we live in a small town with not a whole lot to do.

  what activities did you do with your kids?

  Every body has said good things, Jon. I only have my 2 cents to add--It will sound crazy--but........

  A wonderful and absurd thing is to make and use sock puppets--Button eyes for them and your imagination. Make a ridiculous marionette with a thriftstore cloth doll. remove the stuffings enough that they can bend legs and arms. tie a string to body parts(Look online for info--it is there-"How to string a marrionette") a couple of sticks--don't make it too hard for yourself.

  I speak from years of being creative, broke and having a lot of children and not much access to other options.

  The process may or may not bore the kids--but put on some music and dance--the puppets/marionettes will take over!

  Good luck--2 and 4 are great times for this

  prioor to this time i had tons of responsibility that drained every once of time i had.

  like any father i had family matters to attend to.

  GGRRRREEAT to feel alive instead of feeling like a bag of skin carrying a load of responsibility.

  Not that you are not a responsible guy--It's just that you are free to take care of your life and those around you. And you can love without guilt.

  F**ked up religion. I'm glad you are out and telling others about it---GLAD YOU ARE HAPPY!

  so i said i would write about the 2014 convention program that you guys kindly posted here, to the jw friend who contacted me out of the blue after over 20 years since we d'ad.

  sorry if you find this repetitive if you have already read my story.

  this friend does not know anything about how my family shun me and i thought it is relevant in the light of the convention symposium talk about putting family in second place.

  Dr. Kim made the same argument I gave an elder about transgender persons--If "satan"/sin causes horrible birth defects that we try to remove why wouldn't gender be an area disturbed by defects on some level?

  Yes, expensive to have surgery---tragically expensive for some people. Suicide is high for such unfortunates who live in a body that is not "theirs".

  My dear old Dad's (RIP) observation

  my dear old dad was the po of a congregation.

  he had been in the british marines during ww2.. one jolly day we were in the coach park at twickenham convention.. dad was watching the brothers and sisters getting off the coaches.. he looked at me and said quite pained: 'they all look like loonies.'.

  War shatters men. It looks loonie too, when you think of it.

  All dressed in uniforms so you know who you're 'sposed to shoot at.

  Gotta say, punky, he raised you with enough good sense to get out of another crazy place where they all wear uniforms .

  It's complicated. Our PO in Fayetteville East congregation where I da'd/df'd was a World War II vet from the U.K., Bro. Jim Andrews. His first wife was a French woman, suicide. He remarried a pioneer sister. That was before he came to our congregation.

  The "all one brotherhood" was an effective hook for a lot of people--myself included.

  Guys, wasblind and cofty--You are two of my favorite people on here---I'm laughing my a--off. Each of you is strong medicine--so--here we are!

  maybe tells you the rough and tumble of my world--I'll have a row with my husband and he corrects my GRAMMAR!

  Well, I don't know the forum version of "kiss and make-up" but kiss my ass isn't close to it!

  My world is full of people I love who can't stand to be in the same room with each other--such is life. Gotta build an addition on my house, I guess.
