  Have you let go of waiting for Armageddon?

  although, after experiencing many disappointments and failed dates, i cannot let go and i cannot dismiss the expectation that god will intervene somehow.

  i still hold on, hoping that maybe i will not experience sheol and neither will some of my loved ones.

  In looking at the world and many can get into the argument that there is no global warming, without sounding like a doomsdayer myself, I posted the above scripture, the world is headed down a one way street with God Almighty. I do not fear it as before, I now see the Bible and the simplistic message it contains, love and life in Christ.

  But yes I do believe in the day that he WILL have to step in and straighten this out, I too cannot stop speaking about the things I see and hear. The world is in a real mess,

  How Important is Sex in a Marriage/Relationship?

  i believe it is very important but i also heard it said.

  "sex only plays as much importance in marriage for how long it takes".. how important is it to you in your marriage/relationship?.

  is it only better when all things are going smooth, do you use sex to get what you want or use it as a tool for punishment?.

  i am reading the bible for the first time.

  i was df'd in 1976 and lived my whole life thinking the jws have the truth and i just could not live up to the standard and was doomed to die at the big a without question.

  until i found jwd 31 years later.

  Try not to be dogmatic but work on faith and love, I don't believe in the Trinty but for all pracitcal purposes, Christ reigns supreme until he hands back the Kingdom to his Father. For now he is everything unto God's Glory.

  being raised as a good witness, i was a virgin until i was married.

  of course, the scriptures say one must not commit fornication.

  however, i know most teens have sex well before marriage.

  Can I be with someone who puts the religion 1st before her kids?

  when my wife and i met, we were like soul mates.

  we were very happy together,.

  within a short period of time we were both in the truth and got married shortly thereafter.. everything we did together was jw linked.

  jambon1, sorry to hear about your depression and all that you are going through

  Im sorry, but this just drives me crazy. I feel like I have lost a degree of respsct for her over this. The thing is, I dont expect the smae degree of love myself. I understand that our children now come before each other. But I just cant see how she can accept such cruel and heartless practices.

  My ex, chose the religion over her daughter and besides being a day care provider for her granddaughter, she has no relationship with my daughter and it is going on 6+ years.

  One time when I asked her how our kids would be judged if she were not going to the meetings, she answered that "they would perish". Is it just me or is this not sick?

  It is sick and even sicker, she is now the appointed judge of her children, glad she is not mine.

  I now fear for our marriage but I dont want to ruin my kids life by leaving. But how can I love a person who puts religion before her own flesh and blood? It goes against everything naturally feel.

  My marriage ended but I still have my daughter, the witness viewpoint is so strange and it is unnatural, I have seen it in my own family and I just shake my head in disbelief, but you cannot change people.

  Covering over child abuse in the congregation in the future.

  the case of jehovah's witness 'eunice spry' found guilty of mistreating her foster children has hit the airways all over the world with a vengeance.

  i understand from another poster 'in the know' that there will be another two cases associated with this case that soon will hit the headlines again....... so, do you think that the watchtower society will come down on its elders harshly to prevent them from going to the police in the future with their suspicions, as happened with eunice spry?.

  will there be more 'verbal' instruction to keep any accusations quiet because of the bad press that they must now be heartily sick of?.

  this is your chance to give some advice to lurkers who may need the courage to push the envelope.. my advice; read raymond franz's books, crisis of conscience and in search of christian freedom.. raymond is not the frothing-at-the-mouth rabid apostate you have been lead to believe he is.

  Do as the Bible says,

  Keep Knocking, Keep Asking, Ask for wisdom, discernment, keep digging for it, keep searching and ask for God's Holy Spirit,

  Read the Bible in faith without the use of publication and ask God to open your mind and heart to see what He really wants you to see. Ask God to help you in your faith and flush your mind out of all the man made beliefs and open it to what is really IMPORTANT.

  Use a different Bible translation or use several and compare them to the NWT, search for the truth, dont be spoon fed. Live up to your obligation to search and find.

  Don't take it out on God and Christ for what an organization has done to you!!!!!!!!!!!
