this is a video sent to me by brenda lee, the author of "out of the cocoon",.
of her partaking of the emblems at the jw memorial last month.
I agree with you Mouthy, there is class and then there is ???
Many times it is not what we say but how we do, that either causes fights or attracts people
"You will catch more flies with honey, then vinegar"

Though my faith in the existence of God is scarce or non-existent, I have never been a more spiritual person or more keenly aware of the connections certain individuals enjoy between one another. If one is open to it, life offers beautiful spiritual rewards.
I once felt the same as you in the beginning but continue to feel the same towards people, I now see people as people and not judging them through self righteous eyes, condemning them to death because I feel superiour to them.
I absolutely love people and try and think about what makes them tick, why do they act the way they do, what have they gone through in life and why they react to certain things, fun being people connected and realizing the sincerity in people and not judging them. It is a really great feeling to be people oriented and focused on people instead of religion. It is about love, humility, modesty, sincerity and nothing to do with THINKING you are right and everyone else is wrong.

For the first two years out, I didn't care about God and thought "How could all this crap happen to me, this was suppose to be the truth?"
Then I realize that I was taking my lack of spirituality and gross disregard for God and others out on all the wrong people, so I started my own search, reading and praying and the message of the Bible hit me.
It was simplistic, faith in God and the sacrifice of His Son,
I have a stronger faith and relationship with God and Christ than ever
None in organized religion 100%

how do you see your own demise?
a long, slow, painful illness?
a quick crash?
Defintely a lack of life

one thing that i will never miss is how you were made to feel inferior----that nothing you did was ever really good enough to satisfy the organization and of course by extension, jehovah god.
i know of sooooooo many witnesses that are truly depressed because they can never seem to satisfy god or the elders.. people even start getting mysterious illnesses and believe the "demons" are always trying to get at them.
the mentality is that "everyone hates us because we're jehovah's witnesses".
Worse than that was the changing policy of a new CO, when they came through it was like a new adminstration and undoing all of what the last CO said, rogue agents is what they are.
The power of the mouth with a CO has always amazing to me, men following these simple men like blind wombats.

I agree with Leolai,
Christ when asked by Peter in Luke 12:41 “Lord, are you saying this illustration to us or also to all?”
Would have fulfillment in Christ words in Mark 13:37 37 But what I say to YOU I say to all, Keep on the watch.”
Hypothetical, if it only applies to 144,000 does this not excuse any obligation and nullify Christ words in Mark 13:37, it is meant on a personal levela and our own faithfullness not a class and then us to the class.

*** g74 11/8 11 is this the time to have children?
significantly, in the first century jesus christ himself gave an ominous forecast regarding a calamity coming upon judea.
that the armies of roman general cestius gallus encamped around jerusalem, but then withdrew, apparently without any reason for doing so.
Perhaps this is just one point of what Paul meant when he said that there will be people who would show displays of no natural affection, maybe even to themselves when wanting "Naturally" children, but not allowing themselves to do so.
maybe far out but just a thought.

What's worse is the UNWRITTEN RULES. Sometimes you don't even know you're breaking that one
This way it can keep changing and they can keep you on your toes, so many rules only when you are out do you realize how sickening it was and is for those still trapped in. But as Paul said, some people love to believe the lie.

Regarding the Pharisees, which the Witnesses constantly disparage, what's the difference between the two?? I think there are more Watchtower rules than Talmudic.
I have always felt that way, the only difference is the long robes, tassles and boxes on their heads and arms. abr
