I'm glad to hear your father is better now, and sorry about the fire -- that was close!

the news keeps getting worse = now they are saying many of the kids at the two schools that were destroyed may be dead. I wish I could be there and help remove debris -- I bet they need help. Too far away.

Im SOOOO tired...
by Unlearn inof all of these different gods...and the idea that i've got to 'respect' your beliefs just because you 'feel' them.. i wish all of these gods would all go to some mysterious island in the bermuda triange, and fight it out...tournament style...until just one of them is standing.. then, he/she/it can bring it's ass back here and i can just ignore that one..

ONLY 500 DAYS REMAINING until the 100th Anniversary of Jesus reign...
by Calebs Airplane inlurkers.... check your calendars... october 2, 2014 is only 500 days away.... look for illogical nu-lite from the wt in publications and conventions that will attempt to explain this away.. they've already bought themselves some time by splitting a "generation" into 2 overlapping generations... still, they have a lot of explaining to do... this should get really interesting... stay tuned.... .

so, kick their lazy asses out. Suze Orman says everyone over the age of 18 in the household should be working and contributing to the expenses and the labor of running a house.

Geza Vermes dies.
by fulltimestudent inif you dont know of him, may i recommend, what may have been his last book, " christian beginnings, from nazareth to nicea, ad 30-325.
" he was surely one of the best of contemporary bible scholars( yeah, seriously (haha) better than dear freddy).. and, here's one of a number of obituaries around at the moment:.

Others found him thin-skinned, narrow, repetitive, and selective in his approach. He could brilliantly link texts that suited his arguments, but seemed to brush aside evidence that contradicted them: John’s gospel, for example, or the writings of the Apostle Paul.
Interesting comment -- seems typical of all religous researchers.
I'll look for his book, sounds interesting.

I have just published my first book. ( consequences to follow )
by sieborg ini stopped going to the meetings last september and told them that i didn't want to be badgered.
to be fair, they have not visited or called in nine months, apart from passing on their hello's to my wife and daughter who still attend.
anyhoo, i have had a fair amount of time to do pretty much what i have wanted over the past 9 months and so i have just finished my book.

I agree with laverite. Lots of editing and rewriting needed for a good product. I write non-fiction, and I work with the world's largest textbook publisher. They send the manuscript out for review, and I have to rewrite it with the reviews in mind. Then they send it to an editor and I have to rewrite it with the editor's corrections in mind. Generally 4 to 6 revisions. Sometimes more. Makes for an excellent product.
I recommend paying a professional editor to read your book and correct it. They not only correct spelling and grammar, they also can let you know where it doesn't make sense, where there are needless repetitions, contradictions and other errors.
