I don't think the West has the understanding or power to really change things in Muslim countries. It has to come from within. Maybe if oil suddenly became worthless the West would interfere less in the middle east and change could come more naturally from Muslims themselves.
Either Muslims themselves push for change and moderation, or something truly awful will happen to the world.

Emeraude is pretty potent -- I get a headache from it at 100 yards! Used to love it, though. I thought it smelled like a margarita tastes.
I get a headache from anything with too much musk in it. Years ago, 60s/70s, women wore a lot of musk. I had asthma all the time, it seemed, until the musk went out of fashion.
And yes, I think some old ladies are wearing perfume they bought 20 or 40 years ago. Real essential oils don't spoil, but some of that synthetic stuff seems to degrade over time. Or else they just had appalling taste in perfume back then. I don't really believe that, though.

How I Found Jesus!
by berrygerry inby looking at cdn court cases.. i knew i would find him if i persisted.. there is clear evidence, in my view, that beginning some time, probably in early 2010, but perhaps earlier, that mr. jones developed a delusional disorder with a primary religious focus.
mr. jones accounting of the development of his belief that he is jesus christ, is consistent with the known development of psychotic disorders.
mr. jones describes a period of time where he felt that he had some greater purpose or was meant for something important although he was unable to really identify what that was.

I thought maybe you found him on a piece of toast
or a stain on the wall
or a drop of water on a photograph
or an old piece of stained cloth
You gotta ask yourself these things, when you see a familiar shape in a stain, is it jesus or is it mold?

Viviane, when you mentioned a heritage turkey, for a second I thought you meant bourbon!
I like rice bags, used to make them as christmas gifts. So nice for keeping your neck/back/feet warm. I don't have a microwave now, so don't have any rice bags for me any more.

Are you an "out of the closet" atheist?
by rebel8 ini'm atheist and not ashamed of it.
however, it is so politically incorrect, especially where i live.
i have a legitimate concern that being out of the closet too much will hurt my career or neighborly relations--i know for a fact it probably would.. i'm really cautious about who i tell.. how about you?

Say it proud and say it loud: I'm an atheist. However, that's regarded as something like having two heads around here in woo-town USA. People look at me pretty oddly when I say I don't believe. But say you believe there's a town inside Mt. Shasta and you know where the door is, and everyone is right there with you. In fact, you can pretty much believe any totally whackdoodle thing you want around here, and the more impossible it is, the more you're applauded. I consider myself a little island of sanity in the insanity that is Mt. Shasta.

"Gone Home?" What an unusual sentiment, if they believed he was going to have to wait for the parousia or whatever the hell it is before he went to heaven.

Frankly, I find Santa to be somewhat unreliable. Maybe order a Tardis from the BBC instead of waiting for Santa to bring your time machine.

I wish we had "like" buttons. I like your post, Ragnarok. I hope she gets lots of books! I'm not so sure about the fairy, though. They're hard to find.

Sooner -- is that your last exam in nursing school? Thumbs up! I remember your post a couple of years ago when you announced you were starting nursing school. Good for you!
