  drove down to redding.

  on the way i saw the real woody woodpecker -- every time i see one of those red-headed woodpeckers i think of the cartoon character.

  heard this researcher on dr. radio, and wanted to share the story.

  science keeps blowing away the pre-biblical notion of adam and eve.. skeeter.

  the dna from the 45,000-year-old bone of a man from siberia is helping to pinpoint when modern humans and neanderthals first interbred, researchers say.. although modern humans are the only surviving human lineage, others once lived on earth.

  Adam was white, but Eve was of mixed races? Holy cow.

  Of course, my mother once said, after watching a documentary about Koko the gorilla, that it wasn't possible because god said so. Even though she had just watched the gorilla communicate with sign language. Arghh.

  I don't live near a JIB, so when I pass one I like to get the tacos. They make pretty good egg rolls, too.

  Bruja del Sol - that sounds lovely. I like that kind of day, no rush, no agenda, hanging out but still getting a couple of things done.
