I forgot to mention I like to make creme broulette' and then freeze it after carmelizing the raw sugar on top. I guess that qualifies as ice cream(?).

Homemade vanilla with real vanilla bean chunks. I wish the beans were not so dang expensive. My second fav. is homemade mocha or expresso with home raosted beans.

MSNBC Catches Pedophiles On Camera
by golf2 inevery monday night starting 10pm, msnbc along with authorities trap pedophiles who have made internet arrangements to have sex with under-age children are filmed and exposed to the public.
this passed monday night, they arrested 21 pedophiles making such arrangements.
the one that caught my interest was the pedophile having to travel 350 miles (one way) to have sex with a teenager!

I really like that show also. A couple of the extra stupid ones were caught a couple times. By now if they get caught they should be imprisoned just for sheer ignorant stupidity. Don't they watch TV also? That should be a clue.
They always lie why they are there and then Chris Hansen reads the transcripts. " Isn't this a picture of your pee-pee that you emailed her"?

Anyone recall the WTS's crazy notions about the literal "heart"?
by fahrvegnugen inback in my dub days, i used to make copies of all the old recorded talks i could get my hands on.
in the process i was surprised to come across several talks in which the "faithful slave" tried to make the case that all the scriptures talking about the "heart" were not figurative, but referred to one's literal heart--the organ itself!
as i recall, they even incorporated some pseudo-scientific quotes as "proof" that the heart could effect your thoughts and motivations.

There is research going on about celluar memory but the accounts of it come from many different type of organ recipients. The study of body psychology has shown we hold different emotions in different parts of our bodies. Greif and sadness is held in our chest thus the term "heartache" "broken heart" etc. We hold stress in our upper back and necks. We all know people that are "a pain in the neck" that stess us out and cause our neck and upper back to tighten up.
Cardiac cells have been studied extensively and they do not hold any memory neurons like brain cells do. However they are looking at neuro peptides that exist in all of our cells and seem to hold a type of memory and allow the cells to communicate chemically.
Facinating stuff.

Scream when Raped...
by KW13 inthought i'd bring this up again, i found it on the watchtower library and thought it was extremely annoying how they can say rubbish like this.. rape has become increasingly common today.
a major reason seems obvious.
sex and violence explode from tv and movie screens, from radio, newspapers, magazines and billboards.

I am pretty certain rape pre-dates TV and movies. Thanks for digging that little gem up! Does the Borg even have any clean spots left on thier faces to apply fresh egg?

Texans are my kind of people but I could not stand the geography or lack thereof. I need mountains, big trees, gushing ice cold waterfalls, glaciers and colored leaves in the fall. But what texas lacks in geography is made up by the great people there.

I just walked 4.6km and I feel great.
by Orgull ini am extremely overweight (280lbs.
several friends suggested walking.
we have a 'rail trail' near the house here that goes all the way to two towns over, about 30km long.

That is great to hear! When you do have some extra weight walking actually builds your skeleton also. The light impact causes micro-fractures which turn stimulate calcium uptake to repair them. That makes a stronger skeleton without putting too much stress on the joint cartilage.
Me and my daughter have been mountain biking since last Mar. and having great time. Anything that gets you outside and increases your respirations stimulates endorphins and encephlons(sp?). Those natural opiates reduce pain, stress and make you feel much better.
I am not much into exercise but a huge fan of having fun with physical activity.

Describe Your Feelings When You KNEW It Wasn't The "Truth" After All
by minimus inwhen it finally registered that you did not really have the "truth" after all, what went thru your mind?
.
when things "clicked", what was your emotional state and what did you about it?.

Being born into it, it was a very slow process of realization. I never had a jolting moment just a bunch of little enlightenments until I saw nothing but hypocrisy and double standards. The two faced plastic people also helped alot.

Most religions and cults have double standards for thier followers. The WTBTS should try to be different then the rest of them. But instead they do the exact same thing.
If that organization is THE chosen religion then they should be able to withstand some peer review. It certainly is not allowed on the inside so they had better be expecting it from the outside.
The problem is they never in thier wildest dreams envisioned the power of the internet for revealing the real truth and not just thier idea of it. It is out of thier iron fisted control and for the first time in JW history ex JW's can interface and share stories and experiences. Before the information age they pretty much could control people via alienation. Those days are gone and now they have to deal with a little criticism. criticism that they cannot just DF and micromanage thier way out via thier mind controlling publications.
