  i wanted to know everyones opinion on him losing his show and his comments.. first of all i do think his comments warrant the cancellation of his show, but it should have never got that far.

  when you are talking with family it should never leave the house.

  it should stay behind closed doors.

  Racially offensive words should be colorblind and not used by anyone.

  It would be a sad day in hell when we can't let our kids hang out with African american kids because they will start repeating the N word. How do you explain a double standard to a child?

  Just spoke w/ Elders Pls Help

  i just got a call from an elder from my old kh, i have not been to meeitngs since april 2007. i recently took my daughter to thier first b-day party, (their cousin), anyways, they want to ask if i celebrate b-day now.

  i told them i'd speak with them later.

  so, since i ahve been inactive since april can they df me?????

  It's way too stressful living a double life. When I left I did it quick and put distance between me and the elders. Who has time to play thier goofball power tripping games anyway? I have lived 24 yrs away from the dubs and with limited exposure to my family. During that time I have had complete hapiness and been very succesful.

  I don't want to be around my JW family anymore then they want to be around me.

  Just leave them and get on with your life and your passions.

  In the Pacific Northwest (BC included) we have an earthquake, sunami and volcanoe threat. If the roads, airports and train rails are screwed up then the stores would be empty within a day. If the power is out then even if the stores were full the perishable food would rot within a day.

  Earthquakes don't kill too many in modern countries with strict building codes but they can sure screw up life as we know it.

  The only problem with MRE's is they are irradiated which destroys a large amount of the nutritional value. But they are relatively cheap and easy to use.

  More importantly you also have to think about a water source.

  We have just regular canned goods that are stored in a ziplock bag to prevent rust. For dry bulk foods we buy the 5 ga buckets with the product sealed in a nitrogen mylar bag. The lids on the buckets have a threaded insert so you do not have to mangle the bucket lid each time you open it.

  My philosophy is the more prepared you are the less likely you will ever need it. It's reverse Murphy's law.

  As long as it's natural blonde and not bleached. I think bleach blond is completely pathetic and even worse when you got black roots (and eyebrows) showing.
