and if I say congrats, i'll get another post added to my name, too.
So, thanks...and congrats!
and secondly, it has set apart the real followers of jesus christ, the true servants of jehovah god, from all others who profess to be christians but are such in name only.. *** w59 3/1 p. 148 par.
yes, we can give him something very precious.
" (proverbs 27:11) we can give god our obedience.
Today, Jehovah does not inspire prophets as in the past; instead, he has commissioned a faithful slave class to provide timely spiritual food to his household. (Matthew 24:45-47)
Yeah...in the past, God's prophets never had to retract what they said and make up a cheesy excuse like "new light."
On this board and others, I have noticed a trend where the post I make is the last post on a thread...it sometimes bugs me; I jokingly refer to myself as 'threadkiller' at times. On a good day, I rationalize and tell myself its because I make such good posts that nobody could top them.
AllAlongtheWatchtower,
You are not alone for I, too, have the power to kill threads. I do think it is mostly for that last reason, though.
Oh, and I don't mind people going off topic and having personal conversations on my thread. The thread is there to inform, spark converstation, entertain. 3 words: freedom of speech
(This is probably the oldest thread to which I've ever posted.)
just read the book.
the plot has some inconsistencies, but the issues the book deals with are interesting nonetheless.
conspiracy theory nuts will love it.
JD,
After I read State of Fear, I watched some time later the Al Gore movie Inconvenient Truth, and then the movie Super Size Me. And then recently Zeitgeist the Movie. I'm overflowing with conspiracy theories and anti-propaganda propaganda.
So finally, Stephen Colbert (yes...god that he his, bigdrew) brought up the subject of the super NAFTA highway being built in Texas which will lead to the North American Union and cheaper tube socks for everyone.
Anyone have any good bunker plans available that I could download?
i got dragged to the convention with my folks again because i got a court order stating i have to be with my mother at all times.
so tomorrow, i'm playing a prank.
only a few people on this board know what that prank is.
bigdrew,
errandir, i think it'd be better to make a towel allottment schedule. like,, on the odd hours, you may use 1, on even hours, you may use 2, if it's a full moon and the wolf cries, it is a conscience matter as to the number of towels you may use. but, please, use only 1 square of t.p.
boy, that could get messy. lol
ha ha...even better.
Gregor, pranks are absolutely vital. For those on the way out, seeing a prank will be a symbol of solidarity with others on the way out. They can even find people like themselves by just casually bringing up the topic of the prank and seeing what the responses are.
I'm making all this b.s. up because I don't know psychology, but I imagine this could be a possible benefit of a good prank at the convention. It woulda worked for me.

Putting sticky notes on each towel dispenser in the men's room that says:
"You are now permitted to use two towels per hand washing session. --Convention Committee"
i'm shocked by how many people i know who live in larger towns that do not lock their doors or windows.....do you?
I once locked myself out of my convertible. Thankfully, a couple of minutes later a cop drove by, and I was able to wave him down so that I could ask him to open my car for me. You see, I had left the top down, and it was beginning to rain.
in the early days the dinosaurs roamed the earth.
the tyrannosoras rex would tear into the brontosauras with great shrieks of glee from jehovah and the angels.
the large dinos are all gone but some of the smalller ones survived.
ok...ok...i'll go legalese on your butt, Outlaw.
By an established human community, I meant town, city, suburb, village, walmart supercenter. Ya dig?
A lot of camp grounds are considered an established human community, but mostly because they aren't really in wilderness areas. You know the type...RV campers year-round...and within walking distance of Bob Evans or a 7-11.
But most real wilderness areas are those where the humans are merely visitors and that it is recognized by all that you are in the domain of the wild animals. Therefore, no unattended children potty breaks or else don't whine about the consequences and go off and kill the animal for, well, acting like an animal.
Human arrogance...
