After reading this thread and remembering how I was duped into the "privelege" scam even while in the back of my mind I saw it for what it was, I just had the "privilege" of puking.

How The Organization Hooks You With "Privileges"
by minimus inright from the beginning, you are bombarded with others telling you what a "privilege" it is to "be used" in the organization.
especially if you're a male, it is easy to get hooked by the elder's lines.....for example, a male is given the "privilege" of "handling the microphones" if they put in enough time in the ministry and they aren't setting a bad example.
if you're "faithful in what is least", greater privileges await you.

that's right, the ultimate evil college is calling my name and i've fallen into the temptation.. my goal is to attend my old university starting in january.
i attended there about 5 years ago but dropped out to further my borg opportunities.

The last time I went to a meeting in my assigned hall, I was talking about my then new job and how it was such a relief to have a good, stable job again, even though it was night shift, and I'd miss the meetings. The witness I was talking to at the time (he was a fairly good friend) said "Good for you!" I didn't realize then what an answer like that actually meant. Now you got me thinking...maybe that "brother" is on the way out, too? I haven't seen him for a long time.

by oompa ini have just been outed on this site due to my own stupidity, and lost my anonymity after just a short pleasant while here.
i have been turned in folks, compete with screen name/avatar, by family and i have a ton in.
it is easy to tell it is me, although i never use anyones names.

Tell 'em they are a bunch of paranoid, pharisaical stormtroopers trying to pick on an easy target to feed their overly developed sense of self-importance and power-hungry, ambitious, non-loving, gluttonous appetites. Tell 'em to leave you alone and play the I-am-suffering-from-depression and I'm-spiritually-weak cards. Deny and/or avoid the online/apostate website thing. Ask them which hypocrite was it who went on an obviously apostate website to hunt down this information in the first place...all the while not admitting any of their "evidence" pertains to you.

Ahhhh yes ... those wonderful "quick-builds"
by Frequent_Fader_Miles injust reminiscing a little on all the "quick-build" assignments i supported in the past.

Quick builds were actually another thing that made me question the wisdom of those in charge. There were a lot of uneeded quickbuilds IMO, even with our congregation the old hall was perfectly fine with plenty of capacity, and yet for some reason we needed a new hall. During the course of several years it seemed that every congregation in the region was building a new hall, it was the thing to do. The whole thing still boggles me.
Gotta keep up that all-important "image" to the outsiders, bro.
But in reality, it's just plain wasteful...reminds me of Wal-Mart tactics. They have a perfectly good store in one location for about 5 years. They knock it down instead of remodeling and build a new one in its place. And for what? A little more space, a different paint job.
We live in a throw-away society, and the WTBTS is no different. (Good example, besides the unneeded quick-builds, is the slew of magazines being printed...probably 50% of them get tossed...and I'm being very, very conservative with that estimate.)

book studysmall group brainwashing session andTMS/ServiceSpeech Class and Sales meetings during the week start at 7:30 pm, too. I sleep duing the normal field service times and go to school from 3 pm to 6 pm.In the immortal words of Abbott: "I'm a baaaaad boy."
