Many people are cheap skates. Condiments are only included in the price at the discretion of the restaurant. There is no requirement for them to be there. I once knew a man who would go into the Dairy Queen and make a salad out of the burger toppings and lemonade as described here. You really think the burger he paid for included all of this?

I'll have to agree with you there...cuz she is! But don't tell her I said so...I do that enough myself already. I hope one day she gets charged like that because it would be hilarious. I would take her side and not want to pay, of course. But you gotta admit. It is kinda funny to see someone like that get called!

What Do You Do for Work / Career?

i've been on the board for quite a while now and was wondering, what do my fellow jwdr's do for work, employment or career?

me, i'm in probably one of the most hated careers in america right now.

(not gonna tell you what it is either) but how about you, what do you do to earn a little coin?.

Anywho...I'm a group leader for two departments (3 200+-ton presses, and 2 weld robots) in a factory. My function is to act as back-up supervisor, do problem-solving/TPS activities (anyone seen office space? I actually fill out TPS reports! lol), continuous-improvement, and fill-in for absent employees. Plus I'm slowly studying mechanical engineering.

Oh and my other job which I truly enjoy is to keep my wife happy. That's not an easy job, btw, mostly due to my own shortcomings.

I'm thinking this chinese restaurant owner is going to be shutting his business down a year from now. If he is already that hard up for income and has such poor business sense, as you say, he's not going to last much longer in the business.

The meeting tonight was UNBEARABLE

i had my tms tonight.

for those who don't know me, i no longer believe, but have only just begun my slow fade.. the meeting was unbearable.

first there was the brother who happily pointed out that i'd missed two meetings recently and that he was keeping track.

The meetings are unbearable when you know what's really going on unless you use that time for personal goal setting and to-do's, it will look like you're taking notes.

I used to pay very good attention and take good notes while my wife was making a grocery list or a to do list. Now I'm the faded one, and she is still active. Go figure. Maybe it's because I paid so much attention that I realized the "truth" wasn't the truth.
