....and it's called college!.

that's right, the ultimate evil college is calling my name and i've fallen into the temptation.. my goal is to attend my old university starting in january.

i attended there about 5 years ago but dropped out to further my borg opportunities.

Ahhhh yes ... those wonderful "quick-builds"

just reminiscing a little on all the "quick-build" assignments i supported in the past.

what was your "quick-build" experience?.

Quick builds were actually another thing that made me question the wisdom of those in charge. There were a lot of uneeded quickbuilds IMO, even with our congregation the old hall was perfectly fine with plenty of capacity, and yet for some reason we needed a new hall. During the course of several years it seemed that every congregation in the region was building a new hall, it was the thing to do. The whole thing still boggles me.

Gotta keep up that all-important "image" to the outsiders, bro.

But in reality, it's just plain wasteful...reminds me of Wal-Mart tactics. They have a perfectly good store in one location for about 5 years. They knock it down instead of remodeling and build a new one in its place. And for what? A little more space, a different paint job.

We live in a throw-away society, and the WTBTS is no different. (Good example, besides the unneeded quick-builds, is the slew of magazines being printed...probably 50% of them get tossed...and I'm being very, very conservative with that estimate.)

Oh yeah? Well I'm going to college this semester four days a week AND working a night shift that starts at 7:30 pm. Uh huh...the ol' ~~book study~~ small group brainwashing session and ~~TMS/Service~~ Speech Class and Sales meetings during the week start at 7:30 pm, too. I sleep duing the normal field service times and go to school from 3 pm to 6 pm.

In the immortal words of Abbott: "I'm a baaaaad boy."

And to anyone from my hall that would care to ask:

after finding out the "truth" about the lie, including all the wasted time, all the pain and the hurt, all of the disfunction that you are left to deal with...when do you forgive?

maybe you were hurt out of ignorance and maybe they do know that it's all bs, but when do you 4give and pray for them?

In this case, I'm more into the forget part rather than the forgive. To me personally in this case, forgiving is to say that I condone the WTBTS. I'd rather just forget it all.

Editted to add: And yet I cannot forget.

bigdreaux, yeah, I don't know what I was thinking at the time. I do have a new one of those atari gaming things that come with all the preloaded games and is about 1/3 the original size. Not the same as the original, though.

I sold my old NES and Super Nintendo and all the games on eBay. I also gave away all but two of my games for my N64. I regret doing all that.

My Cats new Litter Box

alot of you have seen them..automated self-cleaning cat litter boxes..it`s frigg`n amazing!..the cat takes a dump..10 minutes later,a rake comes from the back of the box and scoops up the poop..theres a little garbage can at the front of the box..the garbage can lid is raised by the machine and the poop is placed in the garbage can..then the machine closes the lid and rakes the sand perfect,for the cats next poop..lol!

!...............theres been many improvements through the years and i`ve just upgraded to the new cat litter box "poopius maximus!"..lol!

!.......i was amazed how the first model could rake the sand so perfect and evenly.my first thought was:"what do they expect the cat do do,take a poop and play a round of golf in his litter box??"..lol!

I've had a Littermaid automatic litter box for about a year now. It's doing fine. My cat knows how to cover her stuff and so the thing works all right. The only grief I have is when it comes time to empty the end container, the plastic edge pops out and sprays cat litter everywhere, including my face.

Oh, and I've made the mistake of over filling the pan...if you do that by just a tiny bit, the darn rake will not be able to return to its home position.

I think it's the best purchase I've ever made at Walmart. I hate shopping there, but where else can you get an affordable automatic pooper scooper?

My wife is the frugal one, but she also gave me the sole responsibility of cleaning the litter box, so I got to splurge a bit on this luxury after much whining and complaining.
