An idiot behaves idiotic because he's an idiot.
A JW behaves idiotic because:
1. He wants to obey the Faithful and Discreet Slave
2. He reads only JW material.
3. He is following men.
4. He is a he. (ha, just kidding guys)

Sacrifice / Death
by Big Jim inperhaps the whole root of our trouble, the human trouble, is that we will sacrifice all the beauty of our lives, will imprison ourselves in totems, taboos, crosses, blood sacrifices, steeples, mosques, races, armies, flags, nations, in order to deny the fact of death, which is the only fact we have.

Hi Big JiM,
Yes many people unfortunately allow such things to rob them of life's
beauties. They became slaves to their philosophies. Even those that
deny life after death imprison themselves from the beauty of hope.
They only deal with what they can touch and feel, imagination escapes them.

Atheists/Agnostics/Prayer
by patio34 inon the subject of prayer: this is addressed to the more atheistic or agnostic ones amongst us.. now, all those years i prayed really hard when times were tough, and then things worked out.
i now believe it was my own hard work that gave the solutions.
prayer was helpful in that i felt i had help.

Hi Larc,
Relative rudeness.
If you curse at me must I stay silent, or can I tell you
that you are being rude.
Relativism, my friend

JanH, my friend, I was not trying to win. Take note of this carefully, please. There are different views on the existence of
God. You have yours and I have my. Neither one of us can prove in
the absolute that we are correct. Remember you are not all knowing.
God may be looking at you right now from from a dimension you can't
see or feel, or he may not be. I can't say for sure, but neither can
you. As for my resorting to "all sorts of bad vices to [my] opponents," Opps. I'm sorry but I didn't think of you as an opponent.
I have been trying to share my thoughts on God, not flooding you with evidence for my believe. I think you can be too rude,(how you get immoral from this, BTW) to handle sometimes, and decided call this to your attention. I also noticed that you tend to be to set on your ideas, not flexible and dogmatic, that's all though. Conversing with you is challenging, interesting, exciting. But at times is can be
unpleasant too.

Randall Watters exposed
by StiLLinTruth inhello again friends!.
well it was time again for me to take my weekly dose of apostate faeces and see what it tastes like.
decided to check out randy watters this time (we all love him here) and his little testimony on freeminds.org, titled "what happened at bethel in 1980?

When I was a JW I would have never been as nasty and rude as you
are to everyone here. I' don't believe you are happy, I think you're
a fool in aching in misery. Your attitude shows it.
I don't discriminate when it comes to jerks. Whether you are a JW jerk
or a non-JW jerk, I like to point it out. You are a jerk. -

Good stuff, Tallyman,
They should make a public anouncement about cults using that.
I'm addicted to comedy, so thanks for the high.

Ibeg to differ sir,
I was miserable and voluntarily left and have
exp. more happiness ever since. I give thanks
to Jehovah that he saved me from such a wicked
organization, where souls have been burned, families
broken, children abused and molested, women raped
and enslaved, young robbed of their youth, men taught
to hate the person but not the sin, etc, etc, etc!!! -

speakin of phobias...
by LovesDubs ini think we as jws acquire many phobias...that ordinary people dont get like:.
clithrophobia - the fear of being locked in (to a cult).
scopophobia - the fear of being stared at (when you are partaking or are disfellowshipped).

Goodness Gracious, LovesDubs
That was brillantly funny and terrifying.
I didn't realize how much mental repair
I'm going to have to do. But at least now
I can laugh along the way.
Thanks for the laughs.

Why is it that several atheists on this
thread seem to have no qualms about being
insensitive and rude to people that don't
agree with them on every point? Is atheism
another form of dogmatism?
Just a thought, no offense intended,
Emyrose
