  I Feel so alone

  hi everyone, well im totally new at this but i thought i would give it a go anyway.so here is my story(short version).

  well i have been with my boyfriend for 2yrs now and the last 4months he has started to get back into witnessing.

  i have said from day one that i dont want to be one, but i did attend a meeting, memorial and some studys i did this for him to see what it was all about.

  Hi aussie and welcome to the board,

  I hate to say it, but you will never win over the watchtower. In my opinion, find someone that will devote himself to you, and not to a bunch of senile old men that change their minds as often as they change thier diapers.

  I totally agree with stealth on this.

  Really it isn't worth the pain and agony.

  Check out other posts about other non JW women being with JW men, your heart may be wanting to be with him but you will always feel unhappy with the way he is wiith the JW.

  IMO break it off you will have a better life.

  Did You Ever Find The "Truth" Was Ever " Exciting"???

  after reading the thread by truthseeker regarding the district convention, and realizing that they were trying to tell people, especially young ones, that the "truth" is "exciting", i just had to ask you, did you ever feel that the "truth" was "exciting"?

  The only thing i found ecxiting was going to the DC and meeting new people, working at the DC.

  I loved going to the quickbuilds as well. Not that i ever did much but 'talk' to the young brothers

  I mainly found it draining and not making any sense.

  ...what was your 1st expirence like inside of a church?

  Imagine being in a room full of people that believed there was a special banana in a box on the altar, and though no one was allowed to look at it, they all completely believed it was true. And further, they believed 100% that the banana was going to give them eternal life someday. They sang songs to and about the banana, became teary-eyed listening to someone talk about the banana, and sincerely invited you to join them in their worship of the banana

  It was eerie for me the first time though i had been to a few weddings and funerals in other churches, but never for a 'service'.

  The first time i went was just before christmas last year was hung over and tired, felt really awkward as our car was parked out the front with our bisiness name all over it and the KH is only a 1/2 km away.

  But i just listened and it just was the same as going to a KH and listening to the same dribble.

  Back to the topic - I am in love with a JW

  i have been dating a very committed jw - he spent some time out of the organisation after a divorce and about a year ago has been granted a fellowship again.

  i absolutely adore him - and what is there not to love!

  he is the most kind, sweet and lovable man i have ever met.

  I married a non-JW too though me not being very comitted to it all. My mum tried to convert him and he came to a few meetings and memorials, but that didn't last.

  Honestly i would say RUN!!! As much you may be in love with him you will have nothing but heartache and be torn into 2.

  With the decisions of birthdays christmas and all the other holidays it may be fine not for you to worry about them but what happens when you have children will you subject to them missing out on all the activites and all the other ones like giving up extra sporting games association with friends them having to go to the meetings being a subjecive partner.

  There is a lot to consider don't make a light decision.

  I made a U turn at the Kingdom Hall parking lot during a meeting

  i do that once in a while..... there weren't many cars at the meeting sunday.

  the things you can notice while going in the parking lot...... first of all, the first cars parked are those who get there first, and yes the elders came in first place.....then who gets to the kingdom hall the last.....like usual, the inactive and those who were disfellowshipped a couple of times, like the last car that was parked there at the very end.

  i'm still surprised that they went to the meeting.

  ups and downs.. but there is something i can't relate to and simply will never understand.. that is:.

  I find sometimes on how people type the words is not how it comes out in language or spoken works.

  True what they may actually type is the way that they feel but it may just come out all wrong or deliberate, or even those who have little knowlegde of how you type things like when you use capitol letters it means shouting etc etc.

  Anyway thats my opinion, i guess you can just ingnore what they are saying.

  Alone, But Not Lonely....

  I love having time to myself living in a busy household can be fun but i crave for the time to be alone.

  There a too some days where our phone doesnt ring ( our biz number is our home number).

  I think to my mum who now after having 31 years having a houseful and a job now copes ver the last 12 months of being by herslf with her animals in the middle of no where, i wonder if she gets any phone calls, i know the JW have been visiting here, this makes me cringe, and i know she just went to the memorial for the first time in MANY years, so i guess she is doing this for the socialisation. I also know she has been going back to meetings again this again my break her lonliness.

  I try and include her in any activities that we may do but there comes a point where she needs to get out on her own and for us the same. I try and ring her a few times a week.

  So i guess its how you make the use of it all.

  For me i relish it but for others they cannot handle being alone thus tend to be lonely.
