Sorry guys, I'm not a fortune teller, nor do I recommend you going to one. When God shows me the future, He shows me what He wants.

As far as everyone dying, that is just the way things are. Even in the bible it says that it is appointed to every man to die once, then they will stand before God and be judged for the things they have done (both good and bad).

As for the chemical imbalance thing, I hope you can tell by my posts that I am coherent. I understand your concerns, and for someone to tell you that they hear from God is hard to believe. One thing I'd like to mention is this, that God talks to whomever He chooses. If you ask Him He may speak to you, but I'd reccomend being humble about it and not doing it just to test Him.

We really are spending a lot of time discussing the same things, and we can continue if you'd like, but maybe I'll start another thread soon and we can all hang out and shoot the breeze. As far as this thread, I'd like to get back on topic, so here goes (and please keep in mind that this is a bible study).

Jesus said that the only way to the Father was through Him. It is God who sustains life, and the only way to know Him is to go to Jesus first. That being said, if anyone here would like to know their creator, the first and best step would be to go to Jesus, and ask Him to bring you to the Father. You can also ask Him for the Holy Spirit, to forgive you for the things you have done, and to help you do what is right, and these are things that God wants for us, so if you ask He may very well give them to you.

If for any reason you are ever confused, or want to understand more, the best thing (even better than cracking a bible open) to do would be to go to Jesus and ask Him to teach you. He knows you better than anyone else (save God) and can teach you in way that you will understand. Not only that, but He is very wise, and can show you more than any other person.

Really, I hope you'll go to Him. I don't know the future myself, I only know what the Lord wants to show me, but if you go to Him and ask (please don't just do it to test Him), then He may very well show you.

I can tell you this, that even satan has to answer to God. Just read the book of Job.

As far as questioning whether or not I am a capable christian, I can tell you this, I may not have all the answers but I know who does.

Actually I'm kind of hurt at the way you approached me. I really don't mean to offend anyone, nor do I expect to be offended. I hope to get to know you, and perhaps we may even become friends. I don't just sit here all the time and talk about God, but it's kinda hard to shoot pool on the internet.

Hmmm, I didn't mean to come off as judgemental. Sorry about that. I've done some pretty crummy things in the past, and it is good to know that wherever you are, there is always time to stop doing wroung, and do right. On that note there is no time like the present.

As far as asking me the future, I would highly reccomend asking the Lord Himself. He shows me the things He wants to show me, I don't really get to just pick what I want. I don't know the future very much, only when God tells me, but if you ask Him, He may show you. Sorry I couldn't help you more.

One thing I don't understand about the chemical imbalance thing is how a whole new person can be created in your mind. I have seen people with unclean sprits in them, and know of them being cast out. I think the doctors try to medicate a person to try to solve a problem they know very little about.

I do know a few things about the medications, having worked with the mentally handicaped, and I can tell you that they don't actually solve most of the problems. Drugs like halidol, and thorazine only sedate you, and are actually part tranquilizer. They cause shaking, achethesia, and drooling just to name a few things. If anyone is suffering from a mental illness I am here to provid some counsel. Please note that much of it will be from a believers perspective.

The voices you suffered from may have been an unclean spirit or a demon.

As far as giving myself the credit, I have to walk with the Lord, and yes there is some responsibility, but He definately carried me through a lot.

As far as being part of a bad organization, did you know that you don't have to join a church to know Jesus? I think that maybe you are putting on Him the pain they caused you, and I would highly reccomend just going to the Lord by yourself. You don't have to join a church, do any work, or even read a bible. Please don't judge God based upon any organization, or anything that other people have done to you, because the blame for those actions reside on the people who did them, not on the Lord Himself.

He speaks to me directly, person to person. I don't mean to say that I'm special or anything, the Lord talks to whomever He chooses. I'm not the only one either. There are several accounts of Him talking to people, even to children.

If you don't believe me, just ask Him to talk to you. Please remember to be humble, and straightforward. He just might.
