i've noted active, devoted jw's state the above.. and, it's not a problem for me to remain trusting of god, i just don't trust religions or men.. recently, a member of this forum stated that he remains an active jw, in the family of god's people, wanting to encourage and do good - whilst recognising that the pastoral leaders (the gb) have shipwrecked the faith of many, being unsound scripturally etc, etc.. stop and think about this - the bible says to not follow after those who lie and hurt the faith of "little ones".. the pharisees were accused of traversing over lands and expending much energy to make a single convert - only for that convert to end up worse of than he started off with.. it's one thing to not believe this is the 'truth' and feeling the awful pressure of managing ones life, trying not to lose ones family.. it's quite another thing to declare oneself to be a christian believer of god's jw household, and somehow believe the god of love would use corrupt liars to parade as jesus' brothers in the urgency of last days.

and, to then visibly promote faith in corrupt men, and try to bring converts into a place where the rulership is wrong.. some of us are dying from hurt here.......give me a break..

Hi. I'm a lurker, this is my first post. I'm kind of young so I haven't really felt qualified to contribute, but here I go anyway:

After I became disillusioned with my religion, I still 'loved Jehovah'. I loved him deeply and sincerely because in my mind I equated him with the creator, and there's a lot to love about creation.

I don't think so anymore. If there is a being out there responsible for our world, why would he limit himself to a single faith? Diversity is inherent in our biological systems. Wouldn't he reflect the qualities of his own creation? Also, if such a being existed, why would he choose such a hateful group as his single channel on earth, and then punish the rest of us for not joining it?

"I still believe in God and have faith in his provisions but I found I couldn't remain actively preaching as a Jehovah's Witness and not feel a complete hypocrite. A friend commented to me that they can join in preaching but never mention some primary teachings that they are not happy with. I felt identifying myself as Jehovah's Witness would show my support. I have gone back to the hall at times but not to joining in the preaching work and after awhile I found there was little point especially if I was honest to all about how I felt. In the future who knows what changes will be made and maybe I would be able to whole heartedly support the kingdom preaching done by Jehovah's Witnesses but I feel God doesn't want lukewarm activity."

Nice post, I think many here are where you are, we are trying to find the Truth without realizing the fact that, No Organization has the Truth! Time after time, False Prophets, greedy deceivers pretending to know what God wants go beyond what is written and why? Their goal is to separate you from your family, mind and money until your a enemy against the Good News Jesus Christ preached and that which the Apostles picked up and further expounded on from the Holy Spirit! It's hard after being told "You have the truth" realizing we all got tricked and gave away our most precious resource, our health and life to further the interest of a $$$ Publishing Company producing lies!

I had to turn if off six times because of the frustration effect, was like watching Fox News present the truth about the Billionaire Benefactors who only want good things for the Average American!

Docs is true, until they suffer their final attack of wickedness from people appointed by the unholy spirit they won't budge. I have friends who believe in humans before Adam and Eve but won't say a word out of fear of being "marked". One guy has a F.I.L. who attends another congregation, gives parts and goes in Field Circus for Aux-Hours but won't talk to his daughter because he hates her. I know their situation really well, the F.I.L. is a cruel old man who lives in his own home and won't do anything good for his biological family while the Congregation think's he's awesome!

did you watch the story about the jw who was working as a burger boy at some diner and his boss wanted him to work on sunday during the time of his meeting?

this faithful jw decided he could not attend a later meeting (6 pm sunday meeting) and soon quit his job(or got fired to attend his sunday meeting) so he could attend the sunday meeting he was assigned to.

i think he was on welfare because this story states he won't work on sunday morning because that's when his meeting is!

It did look like a Funeral parlor or preconceived idea how the Governing Body wants your house to look. JWs can't even have the freedom to enjoy their own style of decoration, the Watchtower Leaders want control over your entire being(except you debt), if only God would show a sign by having a earthquake decimate their new project in Walkill, how would they spin that event?

What do you think all the JWs would say if God made the ground open up like Korah's case and swallow the entire Governing Body and new project? Would Jehovah's Witnesses leave the Organization faster than someone being chased by a tiger?

In SoCal I know a medical-billing and MIS information professional who quit her job because this group of surgeons wanted her to work beyond the 30 hours she agreed to work. They thought it not be practical to pay another Workers Compensation premium because she would not work 40 to 45 hrs and this Surgical Center said she could work from home to get everything done and they would rather pay her 5+ hours of overtime than hire someone new and add more Social Security premiums and health insurance too.

She quit the job, they used her on the local Circuit Assembly drama as the perfect faith of a JW who would not live to this System's Full, she quit and Regular Pioneered because "She knew Jehovah would provide her with the perfect job". If you know anything about Medical and the Insurance businesses, her skills are in the highest demand, she could have walked across the street and got hired instantly for $18+ an hour(plus signing bonus). Knowing these are three to four jobs doctors and medical professionals save cash by not hiring additional help.

1. Medical Management Information Systems, that's a killer degree standing out on it's own, average wages are $60k+ for experienced professionals.

2. Medical Billing and Coding Expert, they make $16 a hour easily if their skilled and kick ass, she was very good before the Cult got inside her brain.

3. Medical Documentation, all the tons of paperwork and information the Insurance Companies and Workers Compensation Carriers want, every doctor who's busy has his assistant tag along with a computer or Ipad plugging in all the codes and updates on each patient. $12-$16 a hour and doctors are notoriously as cheap as dentist when it comes to paying their staff.

4. Executive Secretary skills, there's another $12 a hour, so why did she wait so long to find another job?

A single JW Female who was not the best looking woman but very smart used that time to Pioneer and brag about "putting the Kingdom first". How do they get away with such dishonesty, what about all the JWs who don't have any skills quitting their jobs?

5. How many Elders did you know who went out of town for work and nobody said anything about their habitual absentees? We had Elders doing State "Prevailing Wage" Construction jobs, building big jobs making $40+ because they had to work when work was there. These Elders are the smart ones, they are going to retire with great benefits because they did not listen to the advice of the Governing Body and set themselves up to be a Pauper! T

The Watchtower's job is to make any feel bad about themselves as they laugh all the way to the bank like L. Ron Hubbard! Scrape all the tiny pieces of value their sheep have and leave them destitute while telling people to "Come to Bethel and work as a Nurse" to wipe the asses off of Old Timer JWs as Missionary Work! These same idiots who don't visit their elderly JW parents will rush to Bethel and change Depends, scrub floors so their perceived as Righteous before mankind! How do you explain all the JWs who neglect their parents while heading off and doing JW Work?

German Branch visit talk Mark Sanderson (Parents; don't hinder young children to get baptized)

the video streaming of the german branch visit program was excrutiating 3.5 hours long.. i just went to see the last 45 min (part of mark sandersons talk).. i think sanderson is quite a sympathetic speaker and he kind of made a loving impression.. he didn't mention controversial stuff (except for one thing i will come to soon).

he mostly talked about how to find joy, even when life is not easy, and how much the gb loves the rank and file.. one point seemed soooo important to him.

Blondie while researching that scripture on the Pharisees traversing land and sea to locate a disciple that would become so bad, Jesus said they would merit "double the judgement of Gehenna or Hell" I came across different renderings of this verse.

These Jewish Proselytes were not infants or children, coming on age in Ancient Israel was 30 years old(There were a few Pedophiles that tried to claim "our sexual abuse done while in our late teens and twenties should not count because we were not of age!" Here's something new I learned while trying to better grasp False Prophets and Wicked People making people worse.

JWs used age 30 as the age of adult hood and responsibility and they want 7 to 16 year old kids to give their life to the Watchtower Organization, they truly don't know their own faith! Do they think everyone who came down to see John-the-Baptist and got baptized were kids, they were all adults who knew they needed to show a change in heart or some type of repentance(Luke1-2). JWs don't know their faith because the Watchtower does not teach them the Bible or historical religion out of fear they might leave.

Gills Bible Commentary

"Ethiopic version reads the words, "baptize one proselyte, and when he is baptized"; referring to a custom among the Jews, who baptized; or dipped their proselytes in water, as well as circumcised them; about which there are great disputes in their writings; some alleging, that the dipping of them was necessary to the making them proselytes; others affirming, that it was not:

"a proselyte that is circumcised, and not dipped, dipped, and not circumcised, the whole follows after, or depends on circumcision, says R. Eliezer.''

R. Joshua says, even dipping delays it; (i.e. the want of it, hinders a man from being a proselyte;) but R. Joshua ben Levi says, it should go according to the tradition of Bar Kaphra; for the tradition of Bar Kaphra is,

So, almost always you can't collect Unemployment Benefits for quitting your job to attend Sunday Morning Meetings, it's not considered tragic to the Employment Board!

1. Moral of this story is, if you don't like working your hours, get fired or laid-off and collect Unemployment Benefits and while looking for a no-skill job, you can Aux Pioneer for Six Months! Man stated he had no skills, whose fault is that?

2. His house was not one he could afford doing his type of work, they only make $8 to $10.00 a hour, so how did he afford to have three kids and a house way beyond his means?

3. Did you notice his White Wife was fifteen years older than him, was it the Ex-JW Husband that's enabling this new couple? She's 50 years old and his about 35 years old. Their house looked like all the Well Off Divorced JW Females who marry some younger kid making Min wage.

What did you notice about that video, it was enough to make me puke! Did he get fired or quit, I thought if he quit he can't collect Unemployment Insurance, right?

stephen lett about 33 minutes in to may's "liar liar" episode of the monthly worship broadcast said "jehovah's witnesses have the most multilingual speakers of any organization in the world!".

the catholic church has the most people i thought, do you think he's telling the truth and where is he getting these facts?

i finally broke down and decided to watch this in order to work on my reverse witnessing skills, lots of ammunition for anyone needing fuel to extinguish their dirty flames of lies!.

It's easy to locate the fallacy of his statement, consider how many Hispanics with Catholic backgrounds immigrate for a better life here in the United States. We have more 8x more Illegal Immigrants than Jehovah's Witnesses World Wide. Their kids (second generation speak English and attend Catholic Churchs on average) speak English-Spanish and Mayan dialects. His statement was either another blatant lie or absolute ignorance (ad lib), no he was reading off a script.

Use his analogy for any Muslim Mosque, he's out of his mind and nothing more than a liar! As you said, using common sense and basic counting skills shows Lett's statement is ludicrous!

floyd kite's name came up in a currant post.

reading through comments it was stated that he was in the san diego area during the early 1980's.

i understand there was a financial scam involving a multi level marketing scheme that ensnared some former circuit and district overseers.
