i dont think i believe in it in the same way that most believers do, which is that we keep coming back in different fleshly bodies until we have achieved perfection.. i do, however, strongly suspect that we may well be spirit creatures who find it necessary to inhabit a fleshly body from time to time, and that this entails us having to leave behind most of our past memories.. i say most memories, because many people seem to have some vestigal recollections that don`t seem to fit in with earthly experiences.. i`m pretty sure that i chose my parents!
i have a recollection of being shown a young and kind couple through some form of astral telescope and choosing to become their son.
Some years ago I kept an allotment vegetable garden. Once, whilst innoccuously picking tomato`s, I was overcome with a feeling of terror of an incredible magnitude. A few minutes later word arrived that my youngest son had been badly hurt having been run down by a speeding car.
Fortunately, his young body healed quickly and he is now a very fit young man.
The thing is though, the moment that he was injured, I knew.

This is what bothers me:
JW`s believe that physical "proof" is everything. When I was a child , there was a booklet called "Basis for belief", that attempted to prove that the Bible was true by scientific means. It used every argument from the ink of squids to the thumb of the chimpanzee to prove a logical creation.
Unfortunately, JW`s make absolutely no allowances for emotion or instinct. That "which comes naturally" is to be distrusted and rejected.
Our consciences are to be distrusted. In the 60`s there was a public talk doing the rounds entitled "Is your conscience a guide to life" which sought to discredit peoples inner instincts.
If there is one thing that I would love to shout from the top of a KH, it is this:
TRUST YOUR INSTINCTS!!!"

An easy way to see if you have a second sight or healing touch is simply to sit silently with your palms held upwards on outstretched arms.
If you just meditate on a relaxing thought - say a floating leaf or waterfall - after a few minutes you may get a sensation of heat in your palms.
This may well be a healing energy that you can literally focus upwards and bounce of the sky in the direction of someone who needs uplifting.
And no, I`m off to the pub in about 45 minutes, so I am totally sober!

im new to this (or any) board and id like to introduce myself.
ive been visiting this and h2o for about a month now, and it has been so therapeutic for me.
ive been inactive for about 2 years except for memorial and assemblies and those have only been for my siblings sake to help care for an aging parent.. i decided to join in and introduce myself because yesterday i read ozzies great post on restrictions on march 23 pm and got so worked up by past memories of my experience with dfing and going through the humiliation of qualifying for reinstatement.

All I can say is that you are on a marvellous voyage of discovery. You`re a bit like an infant who has the physical appearance of an adult, the good part is that you now have choices. CHOICES!
The world really is your oyster now, there`s learning to be had, new proper friends that arent going to die at Gods hand, theres mistakes to be made and fun to be had!

Many people believe in a spirit world other than heaven. Meditation and Chakra work, or the gentler Yoga, can help us to gain an inner peace, and often a gift of healing.
Be honest, dont you sometimes feel a sense of second sight? And doesn`t this sometimes frighten you? Ah, could this be demons?

with all the discussion lately about the need for "two witnesses" to make an accusation valid, i've been thinking about divorce (and ultimately, remarriage) on the grounds of adultery.
in most cases, an adulterous mate does not commit the deed in public.

I was a MS way back, the only thing that I can recall is that if your mate was unfaithfull and you knew about it, subsequent nookies between married partners meant that you had forgiven him/her, so divorce was no longer possible.
