Latest news of my Husband Marco (heart surgery)

so dear friends here is the latest news about hubby's heart by- pass.. the doctor spoke with us both this evening and marco will have the surgery in a week and a half.. he is holding his own and the doctor hopes he won't have another heart attack before surgery.. there are many people that are involved with a heart team.

and so that is why we have to wait to get organized in everry way.

marco is still weak and is constantly tired.

Hiya Missanna,

From what you've said it does sound like some kind of post traumatic stress, therapy sounds like a great idea. I know what you mean about being apprehensive about going into therapy again. I had some counselling when I was younger and to be honest it did make me feel worse about myself and I blamed myself more for things that weren't my fault. Then a few years ago I was severely depressed, was pioneering and getting really ill trying to keep up with it all. So my doc said have some couselling wich I did and it was so good. I'm so glad I did it now, though I realize that my real issues were being a witless, lol. But anyway I found it really helped me, and I just wanted to say that, it'll be different now as there is nothing for you to feel guilty about or responsible for. I hope this makes sense, lol, so for rambling.

Editted to add: I'm fading now, but my counsellor helped me realise that the problem was the crazy situation I was in and the pressure placed on me that shouldn't have been there.

Wow MissAnna, what a life you've had, i'm so sorry for all the horrible things that have happened to you. Some of what you've said is so similar to my own life, dad being an elder, people looking at us as the e.g and all that pressure to be good. I know what you mean too about your dad acting one way at the meetings and another at home, although i must say he wasn't as bad as how your dad acted.

Thank you for sharing your story, I'm so glad you've finally found happiness now in your life, your husband sounds lovely.

Were you a non-spiritual JW?

i sure tried to act spiritual in the beginning of my jw life.

i could go through the motions of being a good jw, but i just never could get turned on with being spiritual.i gave great talks and when i was an elder i could fill in for a no-show and never miss a beat.

however, my wife at the time always complained that we didn't do the family study or study the wt lesson ahead of time.

I was never a spiritual dub by their standards and they let me know that often enough. I think I was just going through the motions too.

where have i been?

hello to all you folks in x-dub land......you may (or may not) have been wondering where i went to seeing that i simply dissapeared for a while..... i guess ive just been playin it safe by staying away from the "apostates"...i really am just trying to balance my family, my friends, my job, school and everything else into one easy to swallow package which i must say is almost impossible.. my mental state has been horrendous in the past few montths trying to figure out exactly what i believe and what i actually am going to do in this little thing called "life".

i suppose feeling insecure and stressed is pretty standard for a 17 year old like me.

adulthood is just around the corner and honestly im nott sure im ready to face it right now.

TBL, it's so good to hear from you, I have been wondering how it's all going with you. I know what you mean about being all over the place about your beliefs, I felt the same for a while after I started researching things. Give it time and don't try and rush things, it'll all come together in time.

Phone phobia overcome - now the price to be paid! Skype info?

i have always been slightly uncomfortable using the phone, but over the last month i seemed to overcome it in a more general way.

to financially bad effect.

i just got my bill for one month and its horrendous.

Oh Crumpet, thats awful.

I don't know anything about Skype but when I first got a mob, as a teenager, I went slightly overboard and would call all my firends on their mobs etc, you get the picture. So each month my bill would come to the around £100 mark, which I not my parents paid. Ouch, I learnt my lessen after that, so after that I went for pay as you go.
