I agree with you about the prophecies minimus, they were so boring. I also hated when they used to talk about material things, as afterwards people would always have a dig at me, just coz i like a few pairs of shoes. And when they used to go on and on about doing more, like enough already, I always felt so guilty after those meetings.

Maybe it will upset them, maybe they will just discard...
by Crumpet init is my parents wedding anniversary saturday and every year since i left i have always sent them a card.
i wondered whether i should or not this year.
on balance i wasn't sure what would upset them more - waiting for a card that never came, or receiving a card at all, especially since i said in december that i wouldn't "bother" them anymore.. anyway it felt right to send a card so i did and i decided to put a little note inside, folded and bearing the message: "my news, but don't read it if you aren't interested".

gawd..could they possibly walk and slower???

i stood and watched as a group of jws got out of the ugliest square box of a four-door car in my neighborhood, split up into two pairs and proceeded to do what i have to assume were not at homes.
the two women were walking up the driveway of the home next door to me which hasnt had anyone living in it for five years and i watched just for kicks to see how long it took them to traverse the 100 feet or so to the front door.

Anything to make the time go by without actually having to talk to someone!!! I hated going door to door!!
Me too, I absolutely loathed it. The excuses I used to come out with make me laugh now. I was talking to my mum the other day about this actually and she said she knew how much I hated it, she said she hated it too but of course you can never say that. I can't believe I pioneered too, 840 hours of the world's slowest shuffle. I used to walk so slowly sometimes I thought I was going backwards.

Bahamas here I come!!

yep...damn miracle we have made it this far, no doubt about it.
he surprised me with a trip to the bahamas for 4 days :) we live in s. fla so already had the clothes for it...only gave me 24 hour notice to get packed!.

I got an early b/card and pressie!
by bluebell ingot an early birthday card and pressie from an aunt i have known for less than a year!
as she lives overseas i thought it was a lovely though (she could have sent an e-card and i'd have been happy) and very good to arrive just a few days early.
pressie was a maltese cross on a necklace.

i have made - cookies, brownies, chocolate cake(famous for) and dutch apple pie.
then i made, a few different home baked breads.. now, i am making dinner.. baked chicken(zesty), garlic mashed potatoes, sweet corn(grilled) and corn muffins.
