  Describe a typical Saturday for a jw child

  please describe a typical saturday for a jw child.

  reason being my jw once told me that all jw children love the door to door (yeah right) and they have all afternoon to play.

  don't they need to get ready for the sunday service?

  I hated Saturdays, min ALL morning, then home to procrastinate about preparing the dreaded watchtower(this usually took up the whole afternoon). Then sometimes my dad would test me to see if I'd really done it. He did it in a jokey way but I knew he was serious.

  Now I get to enjoy my weekends as rthey should be spent relaxing and enjoying the weather. Well when it's sunny lol.

  i havent done any dating really - well ever.

  i just end up with people for years and years by accidents of fate i guess.. what should i and shouldnt i do on a first date?

  free2think and cyber - bad children! I didnt want you to comment on bisexuality or dating - but the religious experience. ie describe my non saintly qualities so that I can convince this lady that I am not special and not some sort of feminine deity! LOL!

  my grandson's girlfriend gave birth to a 6 pound baby boy yesterday and that makes me a great, great grandfather.

  i took my two children home today, and was about to step in when my ex says, 'i've got people here'.

  it turned out to be her sister (also a jw).

  normally i'm ok to go in, but not this time, if i ever go in and she happens to be there she doesnt say a word to me.

  I know exactly what you mean CS, they just been so brainwashed that there's no reasoning with some people. At least you got to spend some quality time with your children and hopefully your example is planting seeds in their minds for later on.

  Allow me to introduce myself

  i was raised among the witnesses and left in my early 30's due to a mixture of doctrinal disputes and social isolation.

  my mother and both of my sisters remain within the organization.

  i also have two brothers, one df'd, one who never quite caught the watchtower bug.. my road within the organization was a rocky one that eventually lead to a place where i found myself socially isolated within the congregation as a person simply unfit for fellowship with proper, upright, theocratic people who must cut off all 'worldy' association, suffer the ensueing isolation, and eat humble pie until such a time as they determined i was 'spiritual minded' enough for them to associate with.. baptism was held up as my expected goal, but despite trying, i was never quite good enough for them.
