Hey Crumpet is your eye any better now? The only rhing I can think of if you think it's a stye is an eye bath/ eye ointment from the chemist. I hope it goes tho hon I know how annonying it is when my eys are uncomfortable.

Thanks Crumpet, I had a great time too.
We did talk about you honey. And I did also mention Brooke or rather her twins and how nice it would be to have all the twins united one day!
Now wouldn't that be a sight, LOL.
Can't wait to do it again when you get back from the Crawfest.
hugs ((Crumpet))

Did You Feel "Special" Being A Jehovah's Witness?
by minimus ini know a lot of people that believe they are "better" because they're witnesses.
what about you?
?

You feel special in the sense that you think you're part of God's chosen group and all the "inside language" that no one else understands makes you feel like you're "in the gang".
I think journey-on summed it up well. I ws raised in the troof and I felt special in that I felt lucky that my parents had found the 'true religion.' I do remember thinking that if my parents hadn't brrn dubs I wouldn't have gone in for it if someone had offered me a study, so at the time I felt lucky. But I think that's partly due to the seperation process that is imposed on dubs. You're so isolated from reality and real life that you do believe that there is something special about us. Sorry I'm rambling, I was working it out as I was typing.
I'll stop now.

Finally starting to understand faders...
by ex-nj-jw ini haven't been posting for about 2 weeks, just kinda lurking, reading other posts, but not participating because i started to feel like i had nothing interesting to add, my life experiences, personal issues were just not very interesting to others on the forum, i felt.. i also started reading coc as well as reading old posts and reviewing the links from "old timer" jwd members.
see, i never got deep into this cult, 18 years from birth to end and i was outta there!!
i never pioneered, never had the ms or elder husband, although i dated a ms, he was only 19 early 20's at best (i was only 16) but that didn't last.

nj your comments are always appreciated and there is always something each one of us has to add that is just as important as the next persons opinion and may really help someone in a similar situation or with the same problem, (did that make any sense?) but I do know what you mean.
That poor girl, it's just typical tho. I used ot think about confessing to the elders for things I did wrong that only I knew about but I was scared they'd df me, now I'm glad I didn't.
Thank you for what you wrote also, i'm a fader and I really appreciated what you said. I do sometimes think it would be easier if I da but I know deep down it wouldn't as I would definitely lose my family. You would think that families love each other unconditionally, but as others can vouch on here, they definitely don't if they're dubs.
hugs
