I Love Long......

this weekend is memorial day here in the usa where the country pauses to remember and honor all the brave men and women who have paid the ulitmate price in order for us to live in "freedom".
flying spaghetti monster bless the usa.. i only have to work until noon today and of course monday is a paid holiday!

Yeah, our UK office said they were closed. I'll have to Wiki what the heck bank holidays are all about. I couldn't help but wonder if they were just a bit jealous of our 'kickoff the summer' holiday!
Probably, you know how we like to copy everything you guys do, lol.
The party sounds like fun, wish I had one of those. I definitely think a BIG nightcap will be in order afterwards.

Me, too! I got lucky this year since my job is actually closed today. A day off AND it's beautiful outside for once! My daughter turns 7 tomorrow..yay! Sunday, I'll take my kids to a beautiful park I love. I'll go out with myself to the Pirates movie on Monday, I think.

Desperate and unable to forget
by Shadowland inam a newbie here so please excuse any lack of decorum, just need to vent to people that understand.. a quick rundown: dad was an elder since i was about 3, and from the time i was 5 i wondered why he was so nice to everyone else and an arsehole to his family.
dad remained an elder until 'deposed' when i was 13, after which my 17 yr old sister 'lost faith' (although, knowing her, it happened a lot sooner).
sis left home, i got seriously depressed and tried to kill myself, after which nothing was ever the same with either my family or the 'truth' (the 'lie' is more like it).

My family were popular, elders fam, but I had really poor health so I wasn't very popular.Most of the time I would get over looked. It even went so far that poeple would ring for the house and I if I answered the to speak to my would ask my sibling and invite them out but not me and it was people of both sexes. I felt so loved growing up, I really miss those guys.

Rent-to-Own~Any horror Stories?
by purplesofa ini have a rent to own on a computer, i was under the impression that it would be paid off in a year, year rolls around and they say i owe $529.00 more dollars.
ok, now i find out i owe for another 12 weeks.. missed a payment and now they come over to pick up the merchandise with the cops last night.. the cop did not allow them to pick it up, i was under the impression when they left i could pay today, but my daughter said ......no, mom, they are coming to pick up the computer today......at 6:00. i did tell the cop i would be home at 6:00, but to pay, not for them to pick up the merchandise.. what are my rights........i am honestly embarrassed to say how much i have paid for this computer.. i just wanted to add.
this week has been hell.

I know how it feels being anaemic, I have been in the past, found out when I was about to have surgery. I hope you're feeling better now.
