  job loss

  as of august 1, mr.blackswan will join the ranks of the thousands of unemployed michiganders.. they are shipping his job, along with the rest of production to grand rapids, mi.

  which is 2 hours away.. my response was tears.

  fear is a big problem.. michigan is just not the place for jobs right now.. so, we are planning on having to look out of state.

  About my new friends

  life after being a jw is so hard at times - i know many of you can relate to that.

  i thought i'd share my experience with you all.

  i've met two of the best mates i could ever have dreamt of, although they are quite a lot younger than me they have older heads upon young shoulders, and at the time we've met we're at similar places to each other.

  I got really good at looking like I was paying total attention, but afterwards wouldn't be able to remember one word that was said! After the assemblies people would be talking about certain points and I'd be wondering "did they say that????"

  Me too BB, even when i was trying really hard to concentrate i couldn't remember a damn thing.

  Bad memory

  when i was in my teen years i spoke to an ms and his wife about the physical abuse i had to endure from my father.

  while they acted very concerned nothing was done about it.

  no one ever spoke to me about it again and my father was never spoken to either.

  Very scarry encounter

  i just had an encounter with a man at the bank and i'm still shaking:.

  i pull up to the bank to use the atm ( atm in small lobby), i park next to a large truck and next to the truck was another car.

  there was 1 man using the atm, and no one in line or outside.

  My Dad is in the hospital and...

  my dad is 81 years old.

  his heart rate was up pretty high today.

  and he was hyperventilating, not getting enough oxygen.i'll be at the hospital tomorrow and i know that a lot of dubbies will come to see him.

  free2think - don't you think that money can give you a lot of things that you want but not necessarily give you power or 'respect' from others.

  However, power can give you money and everything that goes with it!

  I know which one is worth more!

  Very true, and once you have it it is very difficult to let it all go.
