James, if everyone could express their disagreement or opinion the way you just did, intelligently and civilly, there would be far less angst and petty fights. I appreciate the sincerity of your thoughts while understanding fully how someone would do as Gumby has done.

As to SERVICE - Here is my suggestion Gumioneer.
Have MARY do one of her line-through rewrites of the WT & Awake you are placing. It will both amuse and warn the householder and you'll be free of breaking your promise to yourself, or close enough
So now that you've Gumborged I hope you are having a good time seeing your family. -

I can't believe that my Pats lost !
And no, I will not be rooting for Indy.
But I can't root for the Bears as they beat us in 1986
So I'll be rooting for the Refs to ruin the game.

I do hope they do come back Josh and don't you agree that you should bring up 607 and only the JWs believing that Jerusalem was destroyed in that year?
And Josh don't you think it would be fine if you could get them to explain how old light is really a candy covered name for a lie?
Josh don't you agree that many think that if you predict the end would be seen by the generation who saw 1914 and you print that in millions of Awake! and Watchtower magazines over the years and then say in 1995, we've changed our mind on that it makes you just like any other end time religion? -

Label the act for returning to JWism for family only (e.g. Gumby)
by UnConfused ini think it's a deserving act of love to make the sacrifice to rejoin a cult in order to stay connected to your family.
it's putting your love of your family over so so many things.
what could we call it so we could easily understand someone's actions who also does this?

That will have to happen via PM's!

I also propose using the term - "LittleToed" as in "He LittleToed her" meaning a fellow meets someone online a sweeps her off her feet and they lived happily ever after.
Or
Someone who doesn't know his ***** from his little toe. -

Robdar and LT,
Nothing could be further from the truth, I haven't seen anyone judging Gumby with his decision and this was only something to help us identify a noble act when one puts his/her love of family before anything else, even rejoining a cult.
And I think a Wikipedia entry, whether or not it includes honoring Gumby's name, would be good to help to define what some have to do when fighting a cult for their family.
ps - Can't a label not be judging or negative, by the way, just descriptive?
