  A look at 1975

  a few years before 1975, bruce bainbridge, a jw who was our camping with some of the friends, relates this little story:.

  "on the way to the outhouses that same evening, while walking with one of the congregation's ministerial servants, a tall, impressive individual who hadn't seen me for at least eight years said, " you know bruce," putting his arm around my shoulder and squeezing tightly, "if this old world doesn't come to an end in 1975, i'm going back to my old evil ways.

  " then he purposely lifted his leg and passed wind.

  I've rejected Christ, God and anything to do with Scripture, and have decided instead to live a life of of sin.

  So, rejecting Christ, God and Scipture, means you are living a life of sin?

  "Arrogant Skeptic" I resemble that remark, thank you. A mind is a terrible thing to waste.

  I will believe in the paranormal, when I observe it personally. If I start hearing or seeing things, I will have myself committed.

  i'll start.. i'm fixin' file' chicken 'n sausage gumbo w/"cajun ice cream," a green salad and cheesy garlic bread.. crabby pants has already begun his "pre-mealtime throat clearings" from the kitchen aromas.. frannie.

  i have a collection of books.

  robin cook, patricia cornwell, john grisham, dean koontz, richard laymon and stephen king are among my favourites.

  He mixed the stew with the rice and added a dollop of mustard. I hesitantly copied his attack on my Irish stew and was amazed at how good it tasted. It's different, to be sure, but it sure was good.

  Mustard goes with everything, I would use Jalapeño Mustard, it has a little kick.

  For dinner tonight? Whatever the wife makes.

  Newbie!!!

  i'm a newbie on here.

  been away from the truth for nearly a year now and have just got my divorce from my violent ex who is stil serving in the congregation.

  found things hard and still am, as the 'truth' is all i've ever known....so am on here for some well needed support, if thats ok?

  how many of you always felt like you would be killed at armageddon no matter what you did... it was never enough and your parents put a guilt trip on you?

  I was never good enough, I knew that I wouldn't make it through Armageddon. I also knew, that almost everyone else at the KH, was no better than me and wouldn't make it either. I never bothered getting baptized; because, I couldn't live up the JW requirements. I was constantly being told that I was, fat, ugly, repulsive and I was not worth being loved. I believed it all until about age 16 when I found out that it was all a lie. I can not remember one time in my childhood when I was told "I love you".

  Least Favourite Thing Your Pet Does

  we've learned to frisk our cats before they come in, esp.

  at night.

  they have a thing for bringing home their live catches to play with.. also, when they get all smoochy.

  Crabby Pants solves his phone problem....

  this evening, a creditor called him and when they disconnected, cp's phone would not disconnect.

  he did not answer the call, ergo, the.

  answering/message machine picked it up for him.....and refused to disconnect.
