Again, no offense dude, but YOU broke up w/ HER. What's the problem? She doesn't have to answer to you, anymore. You cut her loose. She could blow the entire horn section of the New York Philharmonic and it shouldn't be your concern.

The CFO and I play this game everyday. I drop off the daily journal in his office, flip through his dictionary, close my eyes and point to a word. This morning, my finger landed on the word: hedonism. I busted out laughing and he blushed.

ten pounds in ten weeks week one
by Hortensia inhaven't read the posts on the other thread yet - will do so asap.
in the meantime, had a long day myself, did not got for a walk, worked nine hours without a break!
busy day, had breakfast, only a yogurt for lunch, was glad to come home and have a bowl of cereal.

I went to the doctor today for a check-up. I am down 7 lbs from Dec 17th. I can't tell a difference in my clothing, but I have almost no appetite. Of course, I have been seriously stressed.

if there are approx 9000 partakers in 90,000 congregations then 81,000 congregations don't have partakers.

My only problem with the JWs
by dawg inbesides the fact that jws are pious, think only they have the truth, won't read anything with an open mind... hell won't read anything at all minus wt magazines... .
after all this, my only real problem is the shunning... almost everyone i love gets on my nerves from time to time, i get on theirs.
the fact that the jws beliefs is annoying isn't the problem, it just that after they are wrong as hell becasue of their ignorance, they won't talk to you.. i'm not trying to get my family to eradicate their beliefs, i'm just trying to get them to stop shunning those of us that don't believe like them.

Do Most Witnesses know about UN SCANDAL?
by Abandoned init seems to me that most witnesses still don't know about the un scandal.
since it has been such a useful tool in helping people see the truth about the lying duplicity of the watchtower, how can we get this message out to more in the organization?

I informed both my sister and my mother. I was on the phone w/ my mother while she was reading the UN website. BOTH of them said that by cancelling the NGO involvment that the WTS was correcting a wrong they had made. Neither of them really cared about the issue, but came down on me for trying to question their faith. I gave up after that. I have other things on which to spend my time and energy.
And to comment on the 1995 generation change...the last time I talked to my sister (July 2007) she made the comment, "Don't you remember how many today living will never die? There are only so many people alive today that noticed the changes in the world in 1914. The end is soooooooo close!!!!" Poor girl doesn't even realize that she was quoting a teaching that was revampted 13 years ago.
