by Terry inancient hebrew inscribed on a rock in new mexicowikipedia.
picture this: you're an archaeologist minding your own business in new mexico when a guy comes up and tells you he's got something to show you.
once you check to make sure he's wearing pants and double check to make sure you've got a gun, you follow him to this town outside albuquerque called los lunas.

Is it more difficult to help our loved ones escape the MATRIX if we still share common elements of BLINDNESS with the Watchtower?
by Fernando input three people in a matrix controlled room.. "gb" actively supports the matrix and is under its control.. "jw" passively supports the matrix and is under its control.. "exjw" is onto the matrix and rejects its control.. there is an off switch that will kill the matrix.
the matrix has hidden this switch from everyone in the room by blinding their minds.. each person owns a low-level encrypted life operations library with millions of circuit diagrams, and a series of decryption keys.
unbeknownst to all of them, one of these diagrams is a map leading to the off switch.. someone outside the room slips a note under the door which names and identifies the circuit diagram or map in several languages.. everyone sees and reads the note.. "gb" burns the note and denounces it as "apostasy".. "jw" has fleeting "cognitive dissonance" but silences it by repeating the mantra:.

"Religion" is too general.
I see harmful control with belief or non-belief as law of the land. Religion
or state atheism as law of the land, institutionalized 'centric intolerance, has
caused harm even creating entries on lists of major abominations, but there are
believers and non-believers who'd never want to be on such a list.
http://necrometrics.com/pre1700a.htmThose believers understand faith as such, a hope in a possible God beyond the
known things, so wouldn't want the ethical/theological dilemma of harm or kill-
ing for an arbitrary unproven reason--sadism or murder.Conservative Abrahamic religions may not keep up to speed about the known
things God is possible beyond and even have harmful ideas about women or homo-
sexuals or religion as law of the land, but some are more liberal or even pro-
gressive/reform and don't.Some do or don't believe in God that follow religions such as Buddhism and
Taoism.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ReligionThe analogy of followers of the MATRIX with followers of the GB works, but
for the GB you want creators of the MATRIX, not followers of it.

From Russell to the "GB," the leaders of the Bible Students/JWs have been far
from being under a strong but misguided understanding of faith (like a JW swin-
dled into letting their kid die at a hospital). They're like Popoff or Farra-
khan or Uri Geller--cynical businessmen who cook up exclusiveness to sell liter-
ature. If you want to shake them up, you'll have to show them that if they con-
tinue they'll lose money--Randi's exposes of Popoff or Geller or The First Wives
Club would be better comparisons. -

Is worship deserved?
by goddidit inanyone know the jw explanation for this:.
so supposedly, god exists outside of space and time.
or, god wasn't created and didn't create itself, it just always was, or something.... ignoring any logical issues for a moment, if this is true, why does it deserve any worship for this?.

Human suffering as a result of sin / Angelic suffering ? being the instigator of human sin ?
by smiddy inaccording to the bible adam & eve were created perfect and because they sinned, disobeyeyed god they, and their offspring have suffered death disease and unimaginable consequences these past 6000 years.they also needed a redeemer,a saviour,to rid themselves of this curse and once again, enjoy perfection,in a paradise earth, according to the wtb&ts.
( we wont even touch upon why the rest of creation needed to go through such suffering not only land animals but the creatures of the sea ) one species preys on another for survival .. so my question is : why wasn`t their some sort of paralell penalty dished out to satan and any of his followers, satan being the instigator, deceiving eve in the first place.. shouldent satan be more culpable than adam or eve ?
what is his pain, suffering, these past 6000 years ,or his followers for that matter.. dont we read in job`s day he still had access to the heavens and appeared b4 jehovah ?.

^ To make an analogy with the known and faith with the math of music and
subjective reactions to music, because some people like the song. We can keep
up to speed with the known and understanding faith as such, agree on the
objective things and to allow freedom of subjective reactions and discussions
about them. Preferably they can also agree to ground rules to not get 'centric
or intolerant whichever the choice--both agreeing to dislike ther latter shown
by either. One basic allegorical outlook could be to see it as the first people who had a
concept of God (transcendent, necessary, eternal, creator/sustainer, etc., with
a higher prerogative) and that they'd be lesser (be fallen) in all those regards
with common human selfishness personified by the devil. They went from innocent
of this (perfect) to Life in this lesser form, and suffering each others'
selfishness, kicks peoples' butts (has them suffer as a result of sin). -

Is a malevolent higher power behind the WatchtowerÂ’s seeming addiction to badness and obliviousness?
by Fernando inwe discuss the watchtowers seeming addiction to badness and obliviousness daily on jwn.. .
is it natural or supernatural?.
what are your thoughts?.
-
glenster
I've researched the falsehoods the JWs leaders use to feign exclusiveness. I
haven't noticed them employing anything supernatural or even a show of a
spiritual feeling about a sincere belief in a possible God. James wrote Show
me your faith by your works, so the JWs leaders write the faithful to show the
door to anyone who finds our how they work.

"Thats an interesting point glenster....if they evolve their faith for the
better...was it based on anything true."I recommend "How to Think About God," Mortimer Adler, for philosophizing about
a basic concept of God and the possibility of it. Beyond that, to hope God is
there, has a name, intervened, are matters of faith.Part of understanding faith as such, among other things, is that it isn't
proven substantiation for anyone to be hurt or killed for it, so there should be
separation of church and state. If attention for the founding of the Christian
faith goes back to the NT, nobody there is asking for Christianity to be law of
the land, either. Christians are to go among Jews and Gentiles without giving
offense to gain others to God, according to the end of 1 Cor.10."a fundamentalist muslim group that sends suicide bombers to kill people...the
Catholic church is no better."I read the articles at the links above and saw related killings to dislike,
things most current Catholics would dislike, too, but I don't see that, no. I
don't think I need to worry that if I saw Bob Newhart or Stephen Colbert coming
I'd have to run before they blow up. If Bob M. thought so, I think he had too
much herb, stood up, then took ten deep breaths (a "quick 10" is what it used to
be called--have a couch or such behind someone who tries that as a precaution).
