Oh, and sorry for not writing you, Jamie--I was distracted once I got home, and a little obsessed with trying to fix the computer. Let's hope nothing screws it up again. I hope I can print stuff at home once more. Maybe I can scan something I'd been meaning to send you quite soon. We'll see.....

HAHAHA!!!!!! I knew it!!!! Vindication!!!!! I'm really sorry all of you are going to be dying soon as I'm sure this marks God's great and fear inspiring day is near at hand, but as an elder appointed by holy spirit I'm SURE I'm going to be OK! IT is a tragedy but I will remember you all fondly, and I'm deeply sorry that my efforts to restore you all to god's favor was unsuccessful. BTW, my panda, which I am sure I am soon to receive now, shall be name "Bruce". Bruce and I will silently and privately mourn you all.

I thought a super fine apostle such as yourself would want a lion, tiger, or ohhhhhhhhhhh, a bad ass black panther with amber eyes, LOL!

Are there any songs that remind you of being a jw ?

this afternoon the song music box dancer came on the radio and i was instantly transported back to 1978 when my best jw friend got married.. this was "their" song ,, they are now divorced and one of them left the religion and is remarried.. another song that makes my skin crawl from a jw standpoint is mambo # 5.. there was an elder from my old hall, j. renfroe who always was telling the young people what music was acceptable for them to listen to.. and this guy was just so opinionated regarding everything.. so one time at a wedding this song comes on and he starts dancing almost uncontrollably.

it was agony to watch, and i ( and many others felt embarrassed for him because of how he was dancing and how his self rightous opinions seemed to be thrown to the wind this evening.. any other examples of music that became tainted from a jw experience ?.

It made me think about a two-fold secret that I was keeping. One that I was living in terror of my jw husband, and two, the elders expected me to stay in that distressing situation. I knew that I would have to give up my God and my family and hoped that I would live to tell what was happening to me.

Only problem now is, the subway's totally backed up, I think, and moving at a snail's pace. Here's hoping I can make it home. Home computer is too damaged by malware to comment on JWN, though (long story, technically my fault, but not my fault simultaneously), so...I can probably just e-mail Jamie or something assuming I make it home and all...

I haven't heard from SD-7 this evening. I hope he made it home okay.

I'm on NE Ohio, and I didn't feel the earthquake at all at my house, which is 91 years old. My husband was sitting in a car about 15 miles away, and the whole car was shaking.

i just heard from his brother that he has passed.

several of you know that he has been fighting cancer for a while now.. oh, sac!

i am so very sorry you have left this world... rest in peace, joy, and light... your fight, suffering, and fears are put to rest.. strength and love to all who love you.. .

Wyoming is randomly dotted with little collections of industrial equipment, they look like a generator and a couple of 250 gallon hot water heaters. Are these gas wells? There isn't anything anywhere near them that would require water.

I read a few years ago that Wyoming's economy is booming due to the mining of clean coal. The operations you saw may be doing just that. Welcome home...glad you returned safely.

I remember you said a while back that you wanted to write a rap song. The thought of you actually rapping it is pretty funny though. Most people don't know how well spoken you are. Hell, if you threw a couple of "F" words in there, I'd have a better chance of pulling it off, LOL!
