My dad has hells bells as his ringtone !!!
by elder-schmelder inmy dad is a very active elder/pioneer and works in the same office as me (family business).. his cell phone rings and the ring tone is ac/dc "hells bells" !!!
i just asked him if that is the same song that i sat in an elders meeting over, he said "i dont remember that".. .
i guess that they have different rules on heavy metal then when i was a teenager.

Got Disfellowshipped!

i was in it for ten years and it was 9 years and 11 months too long.
i honestly don't know why it took me so long to do my research on this organization.

Congrats on your df'ing, hope you can get your relaive out, and welcome to JWN! If this isn't a violation of privacy, I'm wondering if you being a jw is what broke up your marriage.
At one time my mom and I were both pioneers. She considered resigning to care for her father in law who had cancer. A ms approachd me about talking her out of it. I told them it was none of my business, and although he wasn't a jw, he was a nice old guy. Someone must've gotten to her, because she and her husband wound up putting him in a nursing home. Poor old dude, he just cried and cried about being put away.

Don't lose heart, my sweet girl. First of all, you're still young enough for pregnancy to be possible Second of all, there are many children who are already here and being born everyday who need parents. I was 24 when I was df'd and had plenty of time to have children, but I didn't want them. Stll I helped to raise two stepkids, and now I'm reaping the rewards of grandchildren, four, yes four little girls!
Once you put yourself out there, you'll meet some marvelous man. It's bound to happen, as you are cute as a button and sweet as sugar. Then you two can f^@k like bunnies and either make a baby bunny or go out and adopt one, LOL!

Steven Dyble, defending, told the court Wood was a man of previous good character who had done his best to live an ‘industrious life'.
Wood's last offence was committed in 1998. Mr Dyble said: "During the last 14 years, there has been no suggestion of any inappropriate behaviour."
Judge Goodin told Wood that in addition to the jail term, he would be made subject to the terms of a sexual offences prevention order.
The order bans Wood from living in the same house or being in the presence of under-18s without their parents being present and aware of his convictions.
He is also banned from contacting his two victims and from carrying out work at any school or voluntary organisation.
Judge Goodin said that Wood would be allowed to attend his place of worship - but only on the condition he was always supervised if potentially being in contact with anyone under 18.
During Wood's trial in September, the jury failed to reach verdicts on another 11 indecent assault charges. The judge ordered these to be recorded as not guilty verdicts.

Pray for me (pain)
by StopTheTears ini don't usually ask for prayers in here but i'm really down and out.
i have a pinched nerve in my lower back that will not get better.
also, my right foot hurts.

I have to agree with S&R...sounds like a herniated disc in the back is pressing on your sciatic nerve. I've had the same problem for 30 years. Because a doctor tried to bully me into having back surgery many years ago, I avoided getting treatment. Now the nerve damage is permanent, and I don't have full use of my left leg. If I have to walk any distance or stand for long periods, I use a wheelchair.
There are now many alternatives to surgery. Please pursue them. I don't pray anymore, but my positive thoughts for healing are certainly sent your way.
