There are over 24,000 active Pediophiles associated with the WB&TS in good standing, some even serving as elders and also allowed to go out in field service. The very person they may trust with their lives could very well be eyeing their little sons.

It simply astounds me that jws will brag about all of the freedom of religion court cases that the Watch Tower has won in the past, yet they believe that the very same organization wouldn't sue for liable over so called false information about joining the UN. Before my jw mom started shunning my inactive brother, she claimed that the child sex abuse claims in the news weren't true...that Satan was putting false information out there. What a bunch of sad fools!

Apparently you or someone you love has never suffered or died from the Watch Tower's ever changing blood doctrine or been the victim of a child molestation cover up. Unfortunately, there are thousands who have had such experiences. And that is because all that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing. I chose to be one of the "good" who does something.

i was thinking (before i go buy my lottery ticket) , i have probably spent at least an hour of my time on this forum for each of those posts and not your typical kiss-me posts that some people love to fill up the forum with, either.-- 7777 hours is a lot of time and i have been reflecting on this almost eight year voyage- has it been worth it?
for me personally, yes it has.
i learned quite a bit about myself and how other people's thinking process works- if i knew what meds some were on, i wouldn't have wasted my time trying to convince them they aren't the messiah-.
Moshe, why not focus your efforts on the newbies who are out but struggling with living in the real world? I met one such young man on You Tube a few years ago. And he's rewarded my efforts with videos, which in turn, have helped several other jws out of the Watch Tower nightmare. About a year after we started corresponding, he called me to say that I gave him his life. I can't imagine a more honorable tribute. He not only has a perfectly happy life, but he also has done more than I could ever dream of in helping others to escape this terrible cult.
There are loads of people who have been out for years who still haven't healed, and there are loads of young people who are leaving. Please use your age, experience, and wisdom to help them be successful.

if you have any lingering doubts about those who critisize ex-jws who try to refute the jw stance on blood transfusions or are unsure where you stand on the issue regarding accepting or even donating blood this is a must see.

i don't bother too often these days with things jw.
the other day, in a chat with an old friend [also xjw] she stated that on a forum somewhere it was being ststated that jw's have ruled that those who would be found purchasing items that are considered 'holiday items' - turkey around thanksgiving, valentine candy, fireworks around the 4th [just a few examples] could face a jc.. any truth to this?
has the watchtower taken such a stance in writing?

i've been away from the board for a while but thought i'd put my head in the doorway to say hello to all and give an update on what's going on with me.. i have been unemployed for nearly three years and finally had got to the end of my tether.
so, at the end of march, i left colorado, my home for the last thirty-one years, and returned to my family in alabama to regroup and recharge my batteries.
leaving colorado and the rockies was heartbreaking but i am grateful that i had a home to return to and didn't wind up on the streets.
