jamiebowers:
Excuse me, but I could not find the above letter in that link. What I did find was a heavy distortion of facts, and outright lies. That is not a reliable site at all.
No, but if you look in COC, which was quoted in my post, you may find the answer there. I don't know. I just Googled and found that page, because no one else responded to you.

Origins of Sparlock the Warrior Wizard - YouTube Video
by 00DAD inhere's an excellent critical analysis of the new wt video.
the author claims "fair use" so it may stay up, but you should watch it before it gets pulled too.

Ray Franz's statement about Fred Franz is referenced here:
http://www.letusreason.org/JW39.htm
According to Raymond Franz, only Fred Franz had "sufficient knowledge of the Bible languages to attempt translation of this kind. He had studied Greek for two years in the University of Cincinnati but was only self taught In Hebrew." Raymond Franz, Crisis of Conscience (Atlanta: Commentary Press, 1983), 50
The above quote can be found right after the first citation of the Walsh trial transcripts. In the second citaton of the trial transcript, Fred couldn't read the OT in Hebrew.

and i say "never been better, nice to see you" you know the ususal pleasantries.... not last night.. we go into the store almost simultaneously (from different directions) and as soon as he sees me he dashes towards the shopping carts.

If things keep going on at the same rate they will soon only be able to talk to one another.
Tht won't work either, what with all of the marking ging on within the congregations.

Just finished reading 'The Crucible'
by sd-7 inyou know, by arthur miller?
well, it's a big deal for me because when i was in school i was assigned to read it, and my mom put a stop to it, going so far as to write a note to the teacher explaining that i couldn't read it because it had witchcraft in it.
there was a bit of back and forth with the teacher over that.

Of course it depends upon what part of the world in which a jw lives, but I can easily see this play being forbidden by the elders. SD-7's mom may have objected to the references to magic in the play, but the Watch Tower higher ups who instructed her to object had different reasons. I think they were trying to hide from the obvious comparison of the legalism in the play and the organization.
