hi there folks,.

i no longer believe in a dime the wt corporation says.

for over a year i've been inactive in field service and i skip meetings whenever i can.. all my family is jw, and that includes my spouse.. i have already come open with her and exposed the wt for what it really is.

Your wife has been considerate of you, so return the favor to her. Practice some kind of blanket response she can give to people who ask about you. Help her get ready for the meetings, and take care of chores and odd jobs while you stay home. Have a nice surprise such as a dessert, glass of wine, etc. ready for her when she gets home. Then start proposing fun things to do as a couple (or family if you have kids) during meeting times.

A Warning for anyone with Fibromyalgia or CFS

i had been hearing about a food supplement that has shown to be a promising therapy for fibromyalgia or chronic fatique syndrome, a food supplement called d ribose.

i tried it and was impressed with the results, so i have been taking it for the last three months.

unfortunately during this time i have also had intestinal issues, which have gotten progressively worse, to the point it was debilitating, also nausea, dizziness and a mild headache.

The Normal Heart (movie)

finally got the guts to watch it last night.

it was so heartbreaking.. i was a partially brainwashed teenager when the story depicted in the movie happened, a few hundred miles away.

i remember the advocates' angry outbursts on tv and the dying men in hospital beds, holding hands.. being a sheltered jw, i had no exposure to homosexuality and only the twisted teachings of the wts to taint my views.

I watched that movie when it first premiered on HBO, and you're right, it is heartbreaking. As a jw I watched the news about hospital and funeral workers refusing to be around AIDS patients. Although I believed homosexuality to be a sin at the time, I couldn't believe that there wasn't some other way to handle working around these dying people. How sad we are as a society!

Does No Solicitation equal Put on "Do not Call List"?

i live in a townhome complex.

a few days ago i asked the property manager to ask the local kingdom hall to no longer place wtbts literature (propaganda) at the complex because the area is posted as no solicitation and because the literature is sometimes blown away from doors becoming litter.. today i received a response that the kingdom hall agreed to no longer place literature at the complex and to let him know if wtbts literature is placed at the complex.

i was shocked how easy it was for the kh representative to agree to no longer place literature at the complex.

after reading this in an article i wonder if mogan's mom is a jw:.

tracy morgan's estranged mother has taken aim at the comedian's fiancee megan wollover after she was banned from visiting her famous son in hospital following his horrific car crash on saturday.. the "30 rock" star, who claimed in 2012 that he had not seen his mum alicia warden in 11 years.... warden returned on sunday and was granted five minutes by morgan's bedside, but she was not allowed to be alone with the comedian and now she has hit out at wollover.. .

My mother is in the hospital again

she fell again and had to have surgery on her other hip.

this is the fourth trip to the er since last fall.

needless to say, i'm not having a good week.

I don't know if the rules are the same now, but before my mother in law died 10 years ago, Medicare informed me that an elderly person having several falls is what qualifies them for one of those mobility scooters for little to no out of pocket expense. You may want to call Medicare, or better yet, one of the companies that sells them to see if your mom can get one. That way she can be mobile without injury and worry.
