How do they figure that reports of child molesting to the Watch Tower is attorney-client privilege? In a letter from the society to the BOE it was said that elders shouldn't refer to the legal department as their lawyers...I wish I could remember which letter it was. And the elders would call the Service Department, not the legal deparment, right? But even if the elders did talk to the organization's lawyer directly when reporting accusations or confesions of child molesting, they are talking to the Watch Tower attorneys and not their attorneys.

Got and accepted it. I can't think of any other ex-jws in your area off the top of my head, but I can recommend some other exs who are pretty cool in my estimation, if you want.

I skimmed all of the responses, and imo, 00Dad had the right answer to your question. And the answer is: Do not confuse sin with crime. As in the situation with Candance Conti, her molester was already a convicted sex offender. When he moved to the North Fremont congregation, the elders were informed of this. Even if they didn't want to announce it, they could've made damn sure that he didn't have any contact with kids in the congregation or the door to door ministry by prohibiting him from the meetings and field service.

Congrats! Once you have the baby, you'll want him to have what all the other kids are having, as far as birthdays and holidays are concerned. It will become even more important when he goes to daycare and/or school and he starts to make friends.

My JW mum is in hospital
by nugget inmy poor mum fell over on sunday and broke her hip.
she was taken to hospital and yesterday had an operation to place a pin in the joint.
this was obviously a worrying time for all concerned and my dad let us all know what was going on.

I don't know if putting a pin in the hip is different from replacing a hip, but my jw mom had to stay in the hospital a week longer than her non-jw sister after having a hip replaced. My "worldly" aunt was put in a few days and already getting physical therapy. My jw mom was in the hospital for about two weeks to get herself built back up due to blood loss.
I hope everything goes fine with your mom. What a shame about your older sister!

June 2012 Our Kingdom Mini$$$try: How Can You Give U$$$ Your Money After You're Dead?
by sd-7 ini noticed the june 2012 our kingdom ministry question box, which asks, "what should be kept in mind if we want some or all of our assets to go to jehovah's organization upon our death?".
the article recommends preparing a will so as to potentially distribute "some or all...to jehovah's organization" and gives this concluding advice to trustees of said will:.
"a trustee or executor should be aware that whether the estate is large or small, liberties should not be taken with the assets.

Interesting stuff. Is there a way to enlarge the court documents even more than what they are once clicked on? I can't read the print even with my reading glasses on.

Hello and nice to meet you! Do you think it would be helpful if your husband started posting here? Another ex-jws explanation of things may be clearer to him. My husband was never a jw either, but his first wife became one while they were still married. Although he was very young at the time, he knew it was all bs. They were divorced by 1975, and she called to warn him that Armageddon was coming. He told her to drop by his place in time enough for her to watch him bend over and kiss his ass goodbye, LOL! He always could spot bs from a mile away. Anyway, he has a little bit of understanding, but he gets very angry when I tell him stuff that I read here and on Facebook.

What do apostates really want?
by Mr Facts ini'm just wondering what the whole apostate propaganda is all about?.
do you think you can do some sort of justice to the wt for the pains they have caused you?, what actualy are your motives?.
i dont get it.

History has shown that apostate activities cannot have any effect on WT policies either on child abuse or domestic policies, even Ray Franz and Barbara Anderson couldnt influence matters when they were at the core of the JW administrative affairs, so how do you think internet peddlers could affect any change in any manner?.
I don't mind being called an apostate. Here is the definition: One who has abandoned one's religious faith, a political party, one's principles, or a cause. http://www.thefreedictionary.com/apostate
I couldn't be happier to shine a light on this vile corporation. The governing body is either too arrogant or too delusional, or both, to change their policies, but people on this type of forum are here to help others as they leave the cult behind. The fact that those who are leaving aren't alone is going to be the downfall of the Watch Tower.
