my wife, the hungarian goddess, and i just returned from a wonderful one week vacation in yosemite!

i've been many times as a child and young adult, but haven't been for 17 years or so.

It was a car. It wasn't yours, yet you thought threatening violence was the appropriate answer. You were the agressor and bully in that situation. In that situation, if you had said that to me, my answer would have been "Feel free to try". I don't respond well to bullies or threats.

Yes, it was a car...a car that didn't belong to the jerk who was leaning on it despite the owner asking him not to do so. Chances are good that a threat of violence is the only thing that would get through to a punk like that. Unlike you, however, he realized that it wasn't worth getting his ass whipped.

thats what my soon to be exhusband just said to me.

i finally after 25 years of dealing with him and the jws and a litany of other shit, told him two weeks ago i want out.

he wrote me a letter this week and made a list of allllll the things he hates: about my beliefs, the fact that i left jehovah, broke my vows to god, my hobbies, celebrations, what i watch on tv, my parenting, keeping the kids out of the jws, not having any friends....and then said well i dont hate "you".

Ha, my answer would've been, "You're the one who is supposed to be the jw, asshole!"

With that aside, I agree with the others about not wasting your energy on feeling hurt about his relationship with Sister Not Free to Remarry. When the time comes, you can decide whether or not to give him his freedom to remarry, or you could use it as a bargaining chip during divorce proceedings. Either way, they're both going to have to wade through a world of shit to be together, because she still has to find her proof.

Worst Day of my life

well this afternoon as i sit here i am calm but my heart is literally aching.

i am sitting here with my young daughter on my shoulder.

i guess you could say i spilled the beans to my wife this afternoon.

This isn't the end of the world. Just tell her you intend to contnue being a good husband and father and that you love her. Then order Steven Hassan's books about how to reach a cult member's true personality and work your way from there. The same goes for your parents. And by the way, stop worrying about their heartbreak. Your mom and dad had their chance to choose how to live their lives, and you have that right too.

Lost my best friend (man's best friend)

just wanted to write a tribute to my best friend whom i lost last week, it was one of the most painful experiences i have ever been through.

i have no children, my puppy was my child.

i got him from a golden retriever rescue organization when he was 2. he was recovering from a car accident, still a bit skiddish, but he chose me to take him home (the foster mom said that he never responded to anyone like he did me).. he was always happy to see me, greet me with a toy in his mouth, he never judged me, never cared whether i was "bad association", he was always there when i needed to smile and remembe that i was not alone in the world.

I'm so sorry for your loss. The only thing that gets me through grief like this is to thnk that one pet's passing leaves room for another unwanted animal to have a home. All of my pets have been strays.
