  book: What the Bible Really Teaches - help

  i have been told to study this book with a sister so that i may can be indoctrinatedadjusted according to bullshitaccurate knowledge.. i dont have this book, nor do i remember reading it, or studying it, just wanted a head's up from those of you who may have it, or know where i can read a copy of it online...any help is really appreciated.. thank you in advance!.

  ah, thats y iv never heard of it - released in 2005. cool bananas, i wasnt going anymore at that point. the fact that the awake went from fortnight to monthly totally passed me by too :D

  On a (minor) downer

  and it is all vicarious, but boo hoo.. i had a phone call first thing this morning from a good friend i used to work with, to tell me that one of our old colleagues had collapsed and died at work yesterday.

  it wasn't someone i was close to, he was a quiet bloke, but nice, with a great dry humour.

  and he was only in his forties.. so i ring another lady we used to work with to let her know the sad news, and she tells me her husband has pancreatic cancer and secondary liver cancer.

  Round 2 disastor

  my mother was sobbing and my dad had the biggext look of dissapointment on his face.

  Ex-JW's Pioneers Help! What can I tell my 75 year old mom who "fs" in rain?

  i have tried talking to my "devout" jw mom until i am blue in the face and she just won't budge.

  but now i am really worried to death for her.

  the other day she told me that she was going on return visits with another pioneer sister who is in her early 40's and much, much younger than my mom.

  you could try speaking to the pioneer sister nicely - just mention the bronchitus and rain - but your mom probably likes being useful

  When "friends" let you down...

  have you ever been in a position where you really needed your friends - ie a relationship break down, or some other event and expected your friends to rally and support you.

  only to find that those friends are nowhere to be seen or heard and when you tentatively enquire how they are in the hope for some kind response you get - "oh well you'll get over it.

  " or words to that effect and by email.. i have as you can guess a reason and recent experience of my own that i'll share later, but i wondered how do you handle that?

  Hey Crumpet, thought i'd better add something after trevor the thread killer - i think it really hurts when friends let you down. im a giver too, and as a human i DO expect some giving back and feel hurt when people dont treat me like i treat them. but i think you have to keeep giving to be true to yourself.

  first - at what level of intimacy do you allow said pat or grab?

  No one touches my butt apart from my hubby! i have real issue with this as it was something considered acceptable in our family to slap someones butt to hurry them up up the stairs etc. it used to make me mad. but then my father also thought it was fun to snap the back of your bra too, i never got that at school but i had to put up with it at home!
