oh gosh yes. I know I would still be mentally in, struggling with guilt and fear, without the internet and ability to do true research.

Not just information to help people leave, but a community on the internet
by OnTheWayOut ina recent thread asked if ray franz's book was instrumental in people's decision to leave wts.
many left before the book was out, many left on their own without the book, most read it afterward and it was instrumental in their never going back.
a bunch of people got their information about wts from the internet.

i'm out.
by yellow inthought you'd might like to know but i'm officially out.
it feels great all the hurt, guilt, fear and paranoia questioning, doubts, etc etc are finally gone and it tastes and feels good what a relief.
no more pain and sorrow, only jubilation along with a sense of being finally at peace with myself.

A Message Re A Very Interesting Scripture...
by AGuest into the household of god, israel, and all those who go with... may you have peace!.
i was flipping through channels sunday morning and came across a show entitled "jewish jewels.
" now, ordinarily, i don't even give such shows any time, regardless of the religion - i would rather be "fed" directly by our faithful and discreet slave, christ.

Thanks for not taking offense - there is no easy way to ask that question and especially not on an anonymous forum! I'm glad you could see it was made out of genuine concern. I have to say that your reaction on the GB annual meeting thread made me laugh out loud - you would have to be sane to be able to write it that way! ;)

To Angel Eyes & Other WT Apologists
by snowbird init has come to my attention that a much-beloved poster on this forum has been hurt by the insensitivity shown toward her account of how badly she was treated by the wt.. i realize this is a place where are all welcome, and barring any posting guidelines violations, we are free to air our views without fear of any backlash.. however, please keep in mind that most posters here - yours truly being one of them - view the wt in a negative light.
with all the evidence out there pertaining to its deceitfulness, how can anyone view it otherwise?.
i reached out to you, angel eyes, because i sense that you need a friend.

Well (feels embarrassed) I either totally missed the thread or missed the hurtful comments somehow but regardless...I agree with everyone here. Mouthy, you must do what is best for you and your health and your peace of mind. Nevertheless, you are much loved here and have welcomed and helped many. I hope that you are able to find it within your heart to stay.

Oh, forgot to mention. A/E? I DO know some of the GB personally (or did since I am out now). So I was able to make my decisons based on personal knowledge, experience, and research.

IA - and that is MY question as well. How do you make decisions that can mean your very life - based on the word of people you don't know, and aren't supposed to question or investigate? And that constantly change direction? I guess that's why many refer to faith as blind. That's really scary to me. And A/E, while I fully respect your right to do that and am not attacking you for those beliefs in any way, can you see why people call this a cult?

With all due respect to IA ;), my next question is a bit more simple, I hope.
Ok, so if I understand you correctly, you are making decisions based on and leading your life directed by a group of men who you believe to be Jah's organization. (by the way, the GB IS Jehovah's organization is not what was being taught when I was in, so I'm feeling my way here), do you know who the individual members of the GB are?

If you know who this person is, I would print out her PMs, send them via certified letter to her COBOE with a letter informing the COBOE she needs to cease and desist immediately or you will pursue legal action AND hold them accountable as well since you are informing them and asking them to provide her with the spiritual direction and guidance she so clearly (rolls eyes) needs and it will be a failure on their part to minister to the flock if they do not do so.
GG of the I'm so sick and tired of the ridiculousness class (which shall soon overlap into the really angry at the ridiculousness class - coming soon! and extending my generation til 2914.)
